Inscryption Combines the Best of Horror, Deckbuilding, and Puzzle-Solving
Always knew creepy inscryptions meant something...

Horror is a genre that has entertained and freaked out society for years. Fresh takes and new combinations of existing genres are the perfect way to keep modern society entertained and hungrily consuming new content.

Inscryption’ brings together a variety of genres. It blends the freaky chills of psychological thriller/horror with the careful thinking that comes with deckbuilding roguelike games, and finally, the mindbending fiddling of escape room puzzle solving.

The game mechanic in ‘Inscryption’ is card-based. Players will be given a full deck of cards with a wide range of unique woodland creatures inscribed on the cards. To acquire new cards players must go through various rituals that include surgery, excruciatingly painful self-mutilation (in-game), and drafting.

The cards bear dark inscryptions that are part of the key to solving what lies behind the walls of the Leshy cabin. Image by 'Inscryption.'

Each inscription on each card hides a dark deeper meaning that forms part of the game’s “deeply disturbing odyssey” that players must embark on to unveil the dark secrets that lurk behind the walls of the ‘Leshy’ cabin.

As players progress on the dark journey of discovery through the evil inscryptions on the cards they must beware of the evil forces that they are facing and make sure that they persevere regardless of the circumstances to ensure their success in their quest.

‘Inscryption’ is developed by ‘DanialMullins Games’ and is on Steam.
