[Top 10] Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Best Creations

Link with sparkles

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has some of the most interesting game mechanics that completely change how we will play Zelda games from now on. Two of these new mechanics are called Fuse and Ultrahand and they allow the player to merge items to create anything, from weapons of rocks and leaves to fully functional flying vehicles that shoot fire.

After seeing how creative people became in the open world of Breath of the Wild, the game makers decided that fusions should be a part of the game, and Zelda players did not disappoint.

With that, let’s take a look at some of our favorite creations that we’ve seen from players using Fuse and Ultrahand.

10. Minecart Shield by Baraturss

Link surfs a mine rail using a minecart fused to a shield.

Fuse a minecart to any shield and you will come out of it with this beauty. Simple, right?

This is a practical shield fusion great for higher mobility and is a creative way to problem solve when you otherwise might be trapped. First, try shield surfing down a hill and see how much faster and farther your new shield takes you.

Take it a step further and use the minecart for its original intended use: gliding mine tracks. Shield surf the tracks instead of wasting Zonai devices and energy cells. Plus, how cool do you feel sliding down metal rails through tunnels and caves?

What We Like About the Minecart Shield:

  • Shield surfing goes longer, farther, and faster.
  • Shield surf over mine tracks for simpler means of transportation.
  • If you have enough momentum, you can damage enemies by rolling into them.
  • You can do the opposite and escape enemies quickly.

9. Silver Lizalfos Horn Boomerang by Wilydettos

Link dressed in the Evil Spirit Armor throwing a boomerang with a Silver Lizalfos Horn attached. He looks like the Grim Reaper.

This Silver Lizalfos Horn Boomerang is a threatening fusion that looks eerily similar to a grim reaper. It is created by fusing the Silver Lizalfos Horn to the Giant Boomerang.

As far as fusions go, these materials aren’t terribly difficult to obtain. You will need to defeat a Silver Lizalfos, which is the most challenging of this breed and will only show up in the game after you’ve defeated a fair amount of enemies.

The Giant Boomerang is most often found in the Gerudo Desert, but it will be the decayed version. To get a pristine version, you must first destroy the decayed version and then find it in the depths from a Phantom Soldier.

What We Like about the Silver Lizalfos Horn Boomerang:

  • Use recall to add a unique flight pattern to the boomerang and hit enemies multiple times.
  • Lizalfos horn adds a sizable boost of +34 attack damage.
  • The base damage of the Giant Boomerang is 23, which makes this fusion a powerful 57 attack power at the very least.

8. Air Balloon by tOhB_TWT

Link riding comfortably through the sky on a balloon.

This “doohickey” is a simple yet practical flying vehicle, which is good for those who prefer exploring more than building. This fusion is created by attaching a balloon to a fan and adding a steer stick and a battery.

This build is great for traversing through the Sky Islands as it is nimble enough to control and stable enough to cross far distances. Leave it parked on the island while you go exploring on foot then return to it when you’re ready to sail the skies again. You may even find more devices to upgrade it while you’re exploring.

What We Like about the Air Balloon:

  • It is simple, but effective so you can spend more time exploring.
  • It is small which allows you to weave between the sky islands and quickly escape enemies that may attack you in the sky.
  • Easily customizable depending on what you need.
  • The materials needed are all commonly given from Zonai dispensers.

7. Wing Shield by Rxjisagamer

Link in a shrine overcoming a huge jump he would not usually be able to make without using the Wing Shield.

The Wing Shield is a fun shield fusion created by merging a wing Zonai device to any shield. While you can’t shield surf in the skies, it does offer a jump boost when jumping onto your shield.

When timed correctly, you can use this extra air time to cross further distances without damaging your shield or using energy reserves. It actually gives you enough air when jumping onto your shield to engage bullet time directly from the ground.

What We Like About the Wing Shield:

  • The slight boost helps in moments of need.
  • All materials are easy to find.
  • Bullet time is more easily accessible.

6. Silver Boss Bokoblin Horn Scimitar by Fun_Impact8975

Link wearing the Snow Quill Set wielding the Silver Boss Bokoblin Horn Scimitar.

This is another fusion that uses the damage-doubling powers of the Scimitar of the Seven. This weapon merges the Silver Boss Bokoblin Horn with the Scimitar. The horn creates a circular blade wrapped in red rope that forms a triangle for a very visually appealing creation.

You will be able to find Boss Bokoblins all across Hyrule, though they are not easy enemies to overcome.

What We Like about the Silver Bokoblin Horn Scimitar:

  • Does a whopping 102 damage, the first on this list to break 100.
  • Silver Boss Bokoblin is easier to fight than a Silver Lynel.
  • It is visually fearsome and will strike fear into the hearts of Hyruleans.

5.   Revolving Elemental Armament by -l_l-l_l-

Link sits back and relaxes while his magnificent Zonai monstrosity works hard to defeat several gloom hands by freezing them and burning them over and over again. It’s super effective.

This fusion by  -l_l-l_l- is  self-titled “Gloom Hands Barrier Armament with Elemental Fusion.” Its function is right there in the name. User  -l_l-l_l- specifies that this invention was created to target the gloom hands, but it can be used for any other enemy.

A revolving beast like this is going to have several components. First, fuse three flame emitters in a descending line to one pole and three frost emitters to another one. Attach each of these poles to the opposite side of a big wheel device, making sure that they point outwards. Now sit back and relax while it does all the work!

What We Like About the Revolving Elemental Armament:

  • Its wide range allows room for multiple enemies to get caught in it at once.
  • You can easily stay out of the action if you want.
  • You can also fight alongside it, just be careful not to get caught up in the flames yourself.

4. Light Dragon Dusk Claymore by HaltingThomas10

A simple photo of the Light Dragon Horn fused with the Dusk Claymore lying in the grass.

This fusion is one of the most delicate and stunning swords out there. Its elegance is truly unmatched as if these two pieces were meant to be fused together.

This sword is created by fusing a Light Dragon Horn with a Dusk Claymore. To get a Dusk Claymore, you will need to finish the Regional Phenomena part of the main quest by completing all four temples. Then go to the Typhlo Ruins Skyview Tower and complete the four Typhlo Ruins Side Adventures.

To get the dragon horn, strike it with a weapon or arrow.

With a base damage of 52, it is a medium-strength weapon, but its splendor is not due to brute strength, but actually to the healing abilities granted by the Sky Dragon Horn. Every time you strike with this weapon, Link gains back a small amount of health.

What We Like about the Light Dragon Horn Dusk Claymore

  • The healing ability is rare and useful.
  • It is an elegant and gorgeous weapon.
  • Using this weapon feels like Zelda is protecting you even from a distance.

3. Gloom Club + Silver Lynel Mace Horn by pologarzanavarro

Link with the Gloom Mace Club secured tightly to his back. It looks like an evil tree branch ready to spread hate throughout Hyrule, but in Link’s hands it can be used for good.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, this Gloom Club + Silver Lynel Mace Horn fusion is the epitome of gloom and hate. Using any gloom weapons bares a burden on Link, causing him to lose health every time he wields the weapon.

The Gloom Club can be obtained from Phantom Ganon drops as he shows up throughout the game. You will have to defeat him and a Silver Lynel to create this weapon.

While it may be difficult, it is quite powerful with an attack power of 111.

What We Like About the Gloom Club + Silver Lynel Mace Horn:

  • It looks evil and super cool.
  • 111 attack damage is incredibly powerful.
  • It is not quite as rare as the saber horn, so it may be just slightly easier to obtain.

2. Silver Lynel Reaper by FuryJack07

Link wearing the Zonaite set wielding the Silver Lynel Reaper.

This creation merges a Silver Lynel Saber Horn with the Scimitar of the Seven creating a weapon with a total base damage of 138! The Scimitar of the Seven doubles the amount of attack damage of fused material, and the Silver Lynel Saber is one of the strongest monster parts at 55 base damage and 110 when doubled.

This power doesn’t come easy, however, as both items are quite difficult to obtain. The Scimitar of the Seven is a legendary legacy weapon that can only be obtained after completing a significant part of the main storyline.

The Silver Lynel Horn can only be obtained in the loot drop after defeating a Silver Lynel, the hardest to defeat. It is one of the rarest monster parts in the game.

What We Like About the Silver Lynel Reaper:

  • It is extremely powerful.
  • Make great use out of each part’s special abilities.
  • Wear this with the Barbarian or Fierce Deity armor for an added attack bonus.

1. Master Sword + Light Dragon Horn by khoiplaysguitar

Link wielding the Master Sword fused with the Light Dragon Horn. It emits a soft green glow.

The Master Sword and Light Dragon Horn is a fusion that just feels right. Thematically, using this sword is symbolic of the bond between Zelda and Link as well as the sacrifices they’ve both made for Hyrule.

Visually the Light Dragon Horn adds a special green glowing effect that compliments Link’s serene blue.

To create this, you will need to collect all the Dragon Tears and pull the sword out of the Light Dragon’s head. While you’re up there, you can shoot and retrieve the horn as well.

With the healing effect granted by the Light Dragon, Link will stay at full health for longer meaning he can use the Master Sword Beam easily. It is truly the perfect combination.

What We Like About the Light Dragon Master Sword:

  • Light Dragon Fusions add health whenever you strike.
  • Wielding a piece of the Princess while you slay Ganon would be iconic.
  • You will be able to get both pieces of this sword at the same time.
