Which heroes should you choose as instructors for the Training Area?

Heroes are a key aspect of State of Survival. Whether you’re leading rallies or just joining them, they play a vital role in any battle, and it is important to spend your efforts appropriately as you rise through the levels. Ranks, gear, skill, and level are all important in the making of a strong hero, and out of all of those, hero level is the quickest and easiest to max out through the use of the Training Area. Picking the right instructors is essential in having all your important heroes reach level 80 while the rest of your opponents are still scrambling for hero fragments and training manuals. These are the 5 best heroes to get your training area running at full steam early on.

5. Nanami

Nanami is only partially responsible for the destruction in this picture.

Out of all the starter heroes, Nanami is the best one, no contest. She’s good at Trap, has some amazing skills and bonuses, and is amongst the epic heroes the game gives you a lot of fragments for. But although the game rewards you with plenty of Nanami fragments, you don’t get as many as you do other heroes. So while she is a hero you certainly want at the General rank, getting there is not as efficient as other heroes on this list.

What makes Nanami Great For Training Area:

- Easy to rank up to general

- Great hero to power up early in the game

4. Sarge

Sarge is always ready and willing to serve.

Sarge is the first hero you will get, and quite likely will be a trainer in the Training Area during your earliest levels. Once you get Mike, he will replace Sarge in explorer trails and the game rewards you with a good deal of his fragments so his rank will be amongst your best for a while. He is not the easiest of the starter heroes to make general though, so once heroes with a better rank emerge you will want them to switch places. But until then he will fill the role of the third instructor quite well.

What makes Sarge Great For Training Area:

- First hero available and easy to power up early on.

- Valuable part of many formations in the early stages of the game

3. Travis

Travis will be taking care of the Infected for you for a very long time.

Travis is by far the easiest epic hero to rank up to General. By focusing on killing infected during his event and then taking down as many elite hunters as you can with your alliance, you should be able to get enough fragments to make him general much before it becomes a possibility for any of other of the elite heroes. His stamina reduction against infected make him a hero you will always need, but for that reason, he doesn’t make for the best instructor in the long run. You need a hero that won’t see much action in explorer trails leading the Training Area, to maximize experience gain. So while Travis will make for a great instructor once he becomes a general, you will want to switch him for a better option once the rest of the heroes catch up to him.

What makes Travis Great For Training Area:

- Easiest Epic hero to get to general

- Important hero to power up, because of bonuses against infected.

2. Jane or Eva

Jane shows up early to the party and things are never quite the same.

Next to Travis, Jane and Eva are the easiest epic heroes to get to General. Jane’s fragmentsyou will get from doing Plague Zones and Eva’s from doing trap, both of which are events that you will want to focus on to power up in other areas of the game. They are better options for explorer trails by the time they start getting strong, so you won’t miss out on experience by having them lead the training area at their highest possible level. Once you get either of these ladies to general, you won’t have to worry about the third instructor spot any longer.

What makes Jane and Eva Great For Training Area:

- Quick to rank up to general, perfectly suited for the instructor role

- Getting their fragments will also get you important loot to power up gear and other heroes.

1. Ghost and Rusty

Get too close to Rusty and he'll introduce you to his special friend.

Although the weakest of all the heroes and only good for gathering past the early stages of the game, Ghost and Rusty are incredibly easy to get to General. Doing Intel will reward you plenty of fragments, but by doing explorer trails as much as you can early in the game (particularly the second level of trails) you’ll see them become generals faster than you would expect. And doing all those trails will also get you a great deal of experience both from the heroes and the loot they recover.

What makes Ghost and Rusty Great For Training Area:

- Easiest heroes to get to General.

- Getting their fragments will also get you experience to level them up as they rise in rank.
