It doesn't always take extreme figures and ridiculous transfer fees to secure a striker who will bag 20+ goals per season.

When starting a new save on FM, the first thing you’ll probably do is rebuild the squad. And in most cases, the first one on your list will be a good striker. Now, unless you like to manage “sugar daddy” clubs, chances are you will be restricted in your search by the budget available to you.

But, worry not! It is not necessary to splash the cash for a quality goal scorer. All you need to do is to search a little deeper.

This guy has real potential, and if managed properly can easily develop into a top striker for any club. He maybe is not star material but, in all but top sides this guy will make a difference in front of the opposition’s goal. Dominant in air, great movement off the ball, and high composure will ensure lots of goals in every campaign. Also, he still can polish his skills. Best of all, he’s under 1M and will make an immediate impact for sure.

It’s these qualities that mark him out as one of the most intelligent young strikers in Europe.

7. Viktor Fischer

He didn't quite bounce very good in Frankfurt so they loaned him to Anderlecht. Great environment for a young striker to develop.  Although still young, Joveljić has amazing instincts in the box, and his goal-scoring ability is fantastic. Not only that, but he is also able to link play pretty good and his movement off the ball, aerial ability and pace make him mobile and lethal finisher already.

He became somewhat a legend in Sporting for the last 4 years and now he is in Eintracht which means he won’t come cheap like some of the guys on this list. But, he is a great scoring machine.

4. Josef Martínez

Haaland is widely regarded as one of the best young forwards in the FM20 who is a natural goal scorer. He is a tall strong forward who is very clinical in front of the goal. He is touted as the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic having similar attributes to the legendary forward.

His stats are excellent to start with and become monstrous even under a computer manager making him one of the best players in the game.
