[Top 7] Clash of Clans TH15 Best Army Compositions

The one and only Town Hall 15


Town Hall 15 is certainly a huge difference in terms of strength but also army size. It might take time to get a hang of new attack strategies. That is why this article will tackle the basics of the best Army Compositions at TH15. 

So obviously, when upgrading your Town Hall you unlock new buildings, traps, and Heroes and you can upgrade each to a higher and better level. Because of that, the best army compositions may differ at different town hall levels. At TH15 you will be able to train more troops than at TH13 or TH15, plus you will be able to have an additional 50 troops in your Clan Castle. This gives you a huge flexibility to choose a great Army Composition that suits you best.   

Having a good army composition is vital in Clash of Clans. Depending on your goal, whether it is to earn trophies, or win in your Clan Wars or Clan War League battles, you need to have a good army. With each level, you will have to face stronger enemies, as the loot from weaker opponents will only get smaller. Because of that, you will need a good army composition that will allow you to overcome stronger or similarly powerful opponents.  

 

 

7. Zap Witches (Trophy Push)

Let’s begin this ranking with something very easy. This Army Composition is probably one of the easiest that you can use at any Town Hall and this version for TH15 is no different. Personally, I love Zap Attacks and this one is also one of my favorites.

For me, the most advantageous side of this composition is that it is very easy to use. You don’t need to care about some very specific and complicated tactics. Despite that, you can still defeat your enemies and get very good results. 

The most important thing is that with Zap Witches, the lower the level of TH15 defense (or even lower TH) the more successful your attack will be. Remember that going against maxed-out TH15 or above might be a tad bit difficult. Other than that you should be fine as this is a simple Army Composition.    

How To Use This Composition: 

  • use your Spells on Inferno Towers and try destroying as many nearby defenses as possible 
  • send in the Log Launcher so that it targets other major defenses that were damaged by the Zap Attack 
  • on the line where you placed the Log Launcher send in Ice Golems and Witches all along the line 
  • follow your troops with the deployment of Grand Warden and archer Queen in the center
  • make sure that those two Heroes follow the Log Launcher inside the base 
  • deploy your Barbarian King to the side of the line where most troops go outside the core 
  • whether part of your attack goes to the upside part of the base or downside, use your Royal Champion and Head Hunters on the opposite side
  • use your Warden ability when needed, preferably when you face a lot of splash damage  
  • use for box-shaped bases 
  • use for trophy push

6. Super Archer Blimp Electro Dragons (Trophy Push)

This Army Composition can certainly be used by any player. I think that especially for people who struggle with trophy pushing this composition might be a good choice to use. You can get 2-3 stars and it doesn’t take a lot of practice to learn this composition. 

The greatest advantage of this composition is the initial Blimp Attack. It deals a crucial amount of damage and can help you clear out good junk from the enemy’s base right at the start of the attack. Another huge capability of this composition is the strong Electro Dragon attack at the end of the battle. 

There are essentially two main things you have to get right with this composition. The first one is the Blimp Attack. Make sure you use spells at the right moments and that your troops deal sufficient damage. The second one is to create a funnel where Electro Dragons and Balloons can enter right inside the base and clear the rest of it out.  

How To Use This Composition: 

  • use against Ring style bases 
  • place your Grand Warden and Battle Blimp at one side of the base 
  • use Warden’s Ability on the Battle Blimp 
  • when Blimp gets inside the enemy’s base near the Town Hall deploy the Invisibility Spell and pop your siege machine 
  • use Clone Spell and Rage Spell on your troops and follow it with another Invisibility Spell 
  • use Invisibility Spells every 4s 
  • use your Barbarian King, Archer Queen, Ice Golem, Super Wall Breakers, and Head Hunters on the other side of the base to funnel 
  • use Baby Dragon to cut off the other side of the funnel 
  • use your Electro Dragons and Balloons along with Royal Champion to enter the base 
  • use for Multiplayer Battles

5. Queen Charge Hybrid (Trophy Push)

As you may have seen from my articles, I am a huge fan of Queen Charge attacks. This composition is perfect at most Town Halls and TH15 is certainly no different. When you master it, I can guarantee you that getting 100% in multiplayer battles will become much easier. 

The greatest advantage of this Army Composition is that it doesn’t require crazy quick troop deployment etc. You need to simply wait for your Queen to do major damage and from there on you can begin clearing the base. Aside from that, it is a massive dive attack with the Hybrid which appeals to me a lot, personally. 

Remember that your Archer Queen needs to be at a very high level to perform this attack efficiently. Also, do everything possible to avoid damage to your Healers from the enemy’s defenses. Lastly, make sure that your Hog Riders and Miners are equipped with spells at the right places and right moments. 

How To Use This Composition:

  • begin the attack with the funneling and Queen Charge and create a funnel for your Archer Queen with the use of Minion, Sneaky Goblins, and Baby Dragon 
  • once the funnel is created deploy your Archer Queen and all Healers 
  • use your Balloons to attract the Seeking Air Mines so that you don’t lose your Healers
  • when you move deeper inside the base continue to use your Balloons and deploy Apprentice Warden and Super Wall Breakers to help you continue the Queen Charge 
  • use Rage Spell when necessary to allow your Queen to clear out major defenses. You can also deploy Freeze Spells on major defenses as well 
  • you can also use an Invisibility Spell when your Queen gets attacked by many defenses at one 
  • on the other side of the funnel place Barbarian King, Wizards, and Siege Barracks 
  • begin your Hybrid Attack with Grand Warden, Hog Riders, and Miners, use Warden Ability, and continue with using Rage Spells and Healing Spells later on 
  • use your Royal Champion to clear out the rest of the buildings
  • use for Trophy Push

4. Electro Titan Smash (Clan War)

Electro Titans are one of my favorite troops in Clash of Clans. They deal a great amount of damage and you can use them in limited numbers but still get the best results. That is why I really like to use this Army Composition. 

The main power of this particular composition is that it requires you to, more or less, place all your troops in one place and let them do the job. Moreover, the Queen Charge is necessary to be successful with this attack, and the charge is quite a simple strategy to use. 

Your main focus needs to be on making sure that your Electro Titans have a funnel ready and can enter the base right after deployment. Also, make sure that your Archer Queen destroys a lot of crucial defenses. Lastly, time your spells right.  

How To Use This Composition: 

  • begin the attack with the Queen Charge and funnel one side of the base
  • use Balloons to create the funnel and let your Archer Queen followed by all Healers go into the enemy’s base 
  • use the last two Balloons along with the Battle Blimp to go inside the base with the Archer Queen and take out major defenses like Eagle Artillery and the Monolith 
  • on the other side of the funnel send in your Barbarian King and Witches and later on send Grand Warden along with Wizards, Ice Golem, and most importantly your Electro Titans 
  • use your Jump Spell to move into the base quickly and use other spells accordingly at the right moments 
  • when you clear out a good portion of the base use your Grand Warden ability to keep your troops alive 
  • when approaching major defenses like multi-target Inferno Towers or any splash damage defenses, use Freeze Spell 
  • use your Royal Champion and Head Hunters to clear out the remaining buildings 
  • use for ring-type bases 
  • use for Clan War

3. Super Bowler Smash (Clan War)

Another great use of very powerful troops and a great example of a smash-type Army Composition. If you enjoy using Bowlers in your attacks, then this composition will also prove to be a great tactic for you. 

The greatest capability of this Army Composition is that when done correctly you can damage a lot of buildings with just three Super Bowlers. What’s more, with your Queen Charge you can destroy some major defenses and you won’t have to deal with them later on. These two make this Army Composition a really powerful force to be reckoned with. 

Since most of your troops are deployed at the same time I would recommend using Rage Spells and Warden’s ability very carefully. You must get the most damage across the base with your troops so that your Royal Champion can simply clear out minor defenses. If you manage to do that, then you should easily get three stars.

How To Use This Composition: 

  • create a funnel for the Archer Queen 
  • use your Baby Dragon to create one side funnel 
  • deploy your Balloons and Battle Blimp so that it targets the Monolith 
  • drop it when next to the Monolith and with the use of Rage Spell destroy it 
  • on the other side, you can deploy your Barbarian King supported by the Witches, while you deploy Grand Warden to support your Archer Queen 
  • on the side of the funnel, in between Barbarian King and Archer Queen, deploy Ice Golems, Electro Titan, Balloons, and Super Bowlers
  • use your Freeze Spells on major defenses and when needed then use near the core of the base the Warden’s ability
  • use your Rage Spells when inside the enemy’s base and try using them when destroying major defenses or Town Hall 
  • deploy your Royal Champion to clear out the remaining defenses
  • use for Clan War

2. Recall Super Bowlers (Clan War League)


The Recall Super Bowlers Army Composition 

This one is quite a nice, but slow Army Composition. It starts with a simple Queen Walk but without doing any serious damage and then it just goes into a huge damage mode. Hence this Army Composition is worth a try. 

For me, the attacks that require you to create a good funnel and then just use spells to make sure you clear the base are the best. This is the case with Recall Super Bowlers. The immersive power of the troops you use can clear out even the most powerful TH15. 

The two most important things in this composition are the Queen Walk and the creation of the funnel to let the troops go inside. You have to destroy the most nearby defenses and create a funnel. After you do this, the rest will be much easier.  

How To Use This Composition: 

  • deploy your Archer Queen with four Healers
  • let the Archer Queen do as much damage as possible and when she is close to using her ability use a Recall Spell on the Hero and the Healers 
  • on the other side of the funnel use the Siege Barracks along with two Balloons and Barbarian King 
  • now that the funnel has been created send in the center your Root Riders, Electro Titan, Wizards, Super Bowlers, and Ice Golem
  • support those troops with the Grand Warden and the Recalled Archer Queen and deploy the last Healer as well 
  • deploy Overgrowth Spell on the Monolith and when you approach it use Warden’s ability 
  • use Jump Spell to get quicker to it as well 
  • throughout your attack use Rage Spells when needed to make Super Bowlers clear out the base easier 
  • you also want to make sure that the Healers are under Rage Spells
  • use for Clan War League

1. Root Rider Valkyrie Spam (Clan War League)

My favorite Army Composition at TH15, no doubt about it. The Root Rider Valkyrie Spam is a very simple, yet powerful and overwhelming composition that can be used to easily get three stars. If you master it, then you can get the highest scores possible during Clan War League, certainly.

Root Rider Valkyrie Spam is just an unstoppable attack. It feels as if you just go across the enemy’s base and destroy everything on your way like a tsunami. The correct use of spells only makes it quicker. 

Be sure to use your Overgrowth Spells correctly so that you keep your troops targeting the center mostly. If you fail to do so, then the strength of your attack will diminish significantly. Also, use your other spells well so that you can destroy the whole base without a problem.     

How To Use This Composition: 

  • begin your attack by creating a funnel 
  • deploy your Siege Barracks in the corner of the base and support the troops with one Apprentice Warden 
  • deploy the Barbarian King to help create this side of the funnel 
  • on the other side of the line use Overgrowth Spell 
  • at this point, your funnel is done and you can start getting inside the base with Root Riders, Ice Golems, Archer Queen, Valkyries, Apprentice Wardens, and Grand Warden 
  • deploy all those troops to get inside the base and support them with an early Rage Spell when approaching the first major defense 
  • use your Overgrowth next to the first one to cut off that part of the base and make sure your troops follow the line of the attack. You can also use an early Warden Ability 
  • later on, use Healing Spell and continue with the use of Rage Spells when needed to continue destroying most buildings quickly 
  • deploy your Royal Champion to clear out the defenses that had been affected by the Overgrowth Spell 
  • use for Clan War League
