Alex's first word was "boy," because he constantly was told "get out of the way, boy!" as his dad played a brand new Atari 2600. Video games have been in his life for almost forty years now. He has owned almost every console since 1980 (sorry, Dreamcast). He has played hundreds of games, and watched thousands of movies and tv shows. If it takes 10 years to become an expert in something, then Alex Simmons is an expert in media consumption four times over. He has published dozens of articles in student newspapers while working on a master's degree and on his personal blog. His favorite film genre is horror followed closely by action/adventure. After decades of gaming, he prefers long, grinding RPG's but does not mind a quick story-based action title or a violent FPS as well.
