Doom, Quake, and Duke Nukem are considered to be among the all-time greats in the world of first-person shooter games. ‘Turbo Overkill’ takes the best of all three and puts it together to make “the most savage FPS ever released by Apogee,” set in a cyberpunk world to match the world’s predictions for its future.

‘Johnny Turbo’ is the hero of the story, bringing a streak of crazy to the battlefield along with his half-man, half-machine body. Johnny, being an unlucky fellow, returns to his hometown to find that a rogue AI by the name of Syn (totally not a play on Sin) has taken possession of the entire town’s population and all the minions that serve it. Talk about a bummer!

Now the player, playing as poor old Johnny, is required to unleash murderous mayhem and destruction on everybody Johnny ever knew. 

For epic headshots, trick shots, and finishers, Johnny has ‘Hero Time,’ slowing time down to a running-through-jello kinda pace. For violent eviscerations, amputations, and decapitations, Johnny has a chainsaw leg… Yes, Johnny can cut people in half with his leg. So cool!

Johnny is equipped with dual Magnums, a deadly shotgun with a grenade launcher, a sniper rifle that teleports Johnny into his enemies before blowing them inside out, and a host of other creative ways to murder people.

Killing bosses during boss fights will give Johnny their ability. Every kill Johnny gets earns him more money to upgrade weapons, buy augments (abilities), and pretty much make him the ultimate killer.

The developer of ‘Turbo Overkill’ is ‘Trigger Happy Interactive,’ and ‘Turbo Overkill’ is coming to Steam in April of 2022.
