The story for ‘Timeless Child’ is set in an ancient 16th-century mansion called Wells Manor, with the 2 protagonists being connected through space and time. The ghost hunter Chris Hunt embarks on a journey to free Emily Wells, a captive of time in the ancient past.

Hunt and Wells are linked, being in the same place at the same time in Wells Manor, but hundreds of years apart. Players are required to play as Hunt and Wells, solving puzzles that stretch across space and time. 

Wells's actions in the past directly impact the current situation experienced, and thus Wells needs to take the correct actions in the past to enable Hunt to free her based on the events he experiences in the present time.

Players are required to solve 5 different puzzles at varying levels of complexity and each demanding a variety of skills, including exploratory, descriptive, logical thinking skills, and reflexes.

Wells Manor is steeped in mystery and has rich lore behind it with a plethora of secrets for players to discover and uncover. Players can explore the manor, discovering clues hinting at the events that took place in the Manor resulting in the freaky time trap that captured Emily Wells and linked her actions so closely to Chris Hunt.
