Inheriting a house would be nice. I mean, it would be sad if you inherited it because somebody you love died, but it would still be nice to get the house. Inheriting a haunted house, however, would suck!

‘Stray Souls’ is a third-person psychological horror game. Daniel, the protagonist, inherits a nice suburban house from his grandmother. He isn’t exactly close to her, in fact, she is described as his “estranged grandmother.” This makes it rather odd that she’d give him a house, but maybe she’s just trying to make a positive impact on his life on her way out… right? Nope!

Upon moving into the house, you, playing as Daniel, immediately start having strange, creepy experiences. First, you meet a strange girl called Martha. The creepy thing about her is that she knows everything about you, even more than you know about yourself!

It doesn’t take you long to realize that everything is not as it seems in the house that your grandma left for you. Random paranormal and ghostly experiences take place without warning, throwing you into a world of darkness and testing your ability to solve puzzles and figure out complex riddles.

You will also need to fight demonic enemies if you wish to survive. You can use all sorts of weapons, from firearms to melee weapons and objects lying around in your environment.

You must uncover the mysteries surrounding the house you inherited, solve puzzles, work out riddles, and fight bosses. Some of the riddles are based on real-life events to make the game creepier and more authentic.

The game is developed using Unreal Engine 5, making it incredibly realistic and graphically rich. Make your choices carefully. How your story will end is entirely in your hands…
