The occult has always been viewed as something that is best left well alone, especially by those that are more religiously inclined. However, the question is, what happens when dabbling in the occult goes too far? Demons from hell? Death? Possession?

‘Sker Ritual’ is a co-op horror survival game that is described by its developers as the “spiritual successor to the award-winning occult horror, Maid of Sker.” The game is built on a foundation of occult and the potential it holds to unlock and unleash the horrors of hell.

Players can choose to play the game solo, or in teams of up to 4 players as they fight to survive the evil ‘Quiet Ones’ that were unleashed when someone dabbled a little too deep in the murky waters of the occult.

Players explore dark tunnels, eerie forests, empty houses, and a plethora of other creepy places that serve as perfect scenes for horrifying rituals of darkness that, unsurprisingly, unleash evil onto planet Earth. They must fight the ‘Quiet Ones,’ beings of darkness that were possessed by evil as a result of their dark practices.

Players can choose from a range of different weapons, customizing their arsenal to be as deadly as possible in the face of overwhelming odds as the ‘Quiet Ones’ seek to book them a one-way ticket to hell.

Playing together as a team can greatly improve players’ odds of survival, and will make the horrifying experiences and jump scare lying in wait for them slightly less terrifying.

‘Sker Ritual’ is developed by ‘Wales Interactive’ and is scheduled for release on Steam during the second quarter of 2022.
