The story of Pinocchio and his growing wooden nose is a childhood classic told by many a parent to try and get their little midgets to stop lying through their teeth. Pinocchio’s story is not one generally associated with dark themes of horror and violence, but ‘Lies of P’ is about to change that.

‘Lies of P’ is based on the classical children’s tale about Pinocchio, but it adds a dark twist. Pinocchio must find his maker, Mr. Geppeto in the city of Krat, which is overrun by madness and violent bloodlust. 

Pinocchio must find Mr. Geppeto if he wishes to have any hope of ever becoming human, and the only way to get past all the violent people in the city is to lie. Players must embark on a series of quests that are called ‘Lying Quests.’

These missions require Pinocchio to lie to get through them, but each lie he tells has a direct impact on how future missions will go, and ultimately on how the story will end. Telling the wrong lies can be deadly. Telling the right lies, however, can make Pinocchio’s journey much safer and easier. 

The game also features an in-depth combat system, with players being able to craft and upgrade weapons to make Pinocchio’s fight easier. Due to Pinocchio’s puppet nature, he is also customizable and players can modify him to match their fighting style and give them unique perks and abilities.
