‘Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony’ is an action side-scroller based on the world-famous ‘Touhou Project.’ For those that don’t know, the ‘Touhou Project’ is a bullet-hell shoot-em-up game series that a solo Japanese doujin soft developer created.

‘Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony’ is a “sharp gothic reinterpretation of the original ‘Touhou Project,’ and has received great praise and love from gamers for high-quality gameplay and an epic soundtrack.

The game features remastered graphics, and now supports 6 different languages, including English, in the hopes that more players from around the world will be able to enjoy the epic adventure.

The story begins with the reappearance of the ‘Scarlet Mist’ in Gensokyo. ‘Reimu Hakurei’ sees an eerie familiarity in the red mist. She suspects that it could be the vampires who are causing this mist. 

The only way for her to discover the true cause of the ‘Scarlet Mist’ is to travel to the ‘Scarlet Devil Mansion’ to go and look for answers…

This is where you step into her shoes! Your journey will be fraught with peril and violence. You will battle your way through different game levels to get to the mansion and discover the truth. 

You will need to use a variety of different weapons, carefully choosing your weapons based on the enemy you need to fight and the environment you are fighting in. Additionally, you will also have two fighting companions named ‘Marisa Kirisame,’ and ‘Cirno,’ who have unique support attacks to help you overcome your enemies!

'Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony' is developed by ‘Frontier Aja,’ and ‘CFK Co. Ltd.’ The game was officially released on Steam on 28 July 2022.
