Thinking about what one would do during an emergency, or playing through potential catastrophic events mentally is not something anyone really wants to do. People prefer to rather just believe that it will never happen to them.

Sadly, there are always the people who will discover on an unfortunate day that they were wrong, and then it will be too late to prepare. 

‘Flight Catastrophe’ is built around the idea of various catastrophic events that may take place on a plane or during a flight that will need to be managed and controlled to minimize damage and casualties.

‘Flight Catastrophe’ presents the role of a “crisis management specialist” on board a passenger plane. Every possible catastrophe imaginable awaits the players, from terrorist hijackings to fires, malfunctions, catastrophic mechanical failures of critical systems aboard the aircraft, and even potentially deaths among the crew and passengers.

With every situation that goes wrong, players are required to make split-second decisions on which course of action to pursue. Every choice will have consequences. Informing passengers of a malfunction could cause panic. Alternatively, not telling them and having them notice its effects could cause even greater panic.

In order to be an effective crisis management agent, players need to investigate, learn, and understand every inch of their plane in order to know what to do when something goes wrong and how to address each issue effectively. 

Neglecting to gain an understanding of the plane could have catastrophic consequences even in the event of a very minor issue that is easily solvable with the correct knowledge.
