Imagine what it would be like to be stranded on an island, with no way off, no one to help you, and no real supplies, tools, or equipment to help you survive! The prospect sounds terrifying, and quite frankly, not very pleasant!

If it were to happen though, do you think you’d have what it takes to survive? Would you be able to keep yourself alive, finding water, food, shelter, and everything you’d need to set yourself up?

‘Project Castaway’ is an up-and-coming survival game. It is set in the Pacific Ocean. You will find yourself stranded on an island in the Pacific Ocean. Don’t be fooled by the natural beauty around you though! If you don’t find water and food soon, the beautiful island you find yourself on will be the last thing you see on this Earth…

Your goal as a survivor is initially just to survive. You need to find the essentials like food, water, and basic shelter. 

As you progress, you can explore more, gather resources, and use them to build up your home on the island and craft better clothes, tools, and weapons. You can then also use tools/weapons to hunt animals, which will provide a good source of food and resources such as leather and fat.

Currently, ‘Project Castaway’ is still under development and is currently only available in early access. 

According to developers, there are still significant features that need to be added, bugs that need to be worked out, and finetuning that needs to be done. Early access is fully playable online, with all basic features functional.

Upon full completion, ‘Project Castaway’ will have all the features of the best survival crafter games, including detailed body status mechanics for things such as hunger, thirst, and temperature. It will also include crafting systems and day/night/weather cycles. 

The end goal of the development of a realistic, in-depth Pacific Island survival game that is highly immersive and can be played with friends.
