The release of Battlefield 2042 was met with a lot of disappointment and criticism due to the abundant bugs and issues that plagued the game after its release. The release of ‘Clownfield 2042’ came as a not-so-subtle jab and a hint at how the gaming community views Battlefield 2042.

Clownfield 2042 places players on a battlefield as a soldier carrying six different weapons including 2 Assault Rifles, 1 Handgun, 1 Sniper Rifle, 1 Rocket Launcher, and 1 Shotgun. Players must fight to win against enemy AI’s on 3 different maps after the world has gone to pieces in the aftermath of a financial crash caused by NFT’s.

The three maps are War Island, Paradise City, and the Heat, with each of these being a parody of the Battlefield 2042 maps. War Island could be ‘Discarded’, Paradise City could be ‘Kaleidoscope’, and Heat could be ‘Hourglass’.

Hovercraft Zone is an alternative mode that is reportedly “broken” where players can “slay all their enemies” and enjoy an experience rich in bugs, glitches, and out-of-this-world game physics. This entire mode is a satirical poke at the bugs in Battlefield 2042 and the dominance of vehicles on the battlefield.

Clownfield promises players an epic broken experience with plenty of bugs that the developers are aware of, but will put on the backseat as they focus on releasing new characters and weapon skins. 

Clownfield 2042 is a satirical parody of Battlefield 2042, comically mocking the flaws in Battlefield 2042 and the developers for failing to prioritize the game’s basic performance over optional add-ons such as new weapon skins.
