10. Patty Thompson
The funniest scene with Patty is when she’s taking an extremely important test and instead she colors and makes a giraffe with the papers showing how much of a cute airhead she is.
The younger of the Thompson Sisters, Patty is often seen as naive and clueless but she is still cute and fearsome as a weapon or when using her sister as a weapon.
- Staying close to her older sister, Liz, she is somewhat childish and more of a follower than a leader which is fine with her because she is a slight airhead.
- Patty used to be a criminal alongside her sister with the name the Brooklyn Devils.
What Makes Patty Thompson Awesome
- Being a cute form of fan service Patty never really matures and always finds a way of making the situation more light-hearted and calm.
- Able to match her sister Patty is one of few weapons that share the same form of another which is why Death the Kid chose them as his weapons.
9. Crona
One of the best scenes without Crona fighting or getting picked on or manipulated is when unwillingly he writes a poem that made everyone who read it “Wish they were never born” and Sid specifically said “I wish I never came back to life” making the scene somber yet funny.
Crona is the Demon Sword meister even though Ragnorak, the Demon Sword, often bullies and controls Crona by punching him and pulling at his nose and ears.
- Crona has had a sad life and was used by Medusa because she wanted to turn Crona into a Kishin by forcing him to eat the souls of people he’s unwillingly killed.
- He has the best defense against slice type weapons because of the black blood that courses through his veins that clots and hardens immediately when he gets cut.
- Even though Crona is friends with others at the DWMA he only wants to fight for Maka’s sake and will do anything to help her and protect her.
What Makes Crona Awesome
- Even though Crona has absorbed the souls of countless people he hasn’t become a Kishin because he isn’t inherently evil and that’s really admirable.
- Crona has lived a sad life with no friends and when he finally found a friend in Maka making Ragnarok smaller and not able to hurt Crona as much and Ragnarok becomes a cute form of himself with a lighter voice.
8. Dr. Franken Stein
The funniest moment with Stein is when we first get introduced to him, he tries to roll out and make a cool entrance on his rolling chair, twice, but both times he just falls and picks himself back up again to face the kids as he goes through and reads their souls.
Dr. Stein is a scientist above everything and loves to run experiments on everything including himself and while he was the meister of Death Scythe he often experimented on him.
- Stein is one of my favorite characters and it’s sad when he gets poisoned by Medusa causing him to sink deeper into his own madness.
- Regarded as the strongest meister to graduate the DWMA Stein can change his soul wave link to match any weapon and he’s skilled enough to use any weapons.
- He is in a relationship with Marie Mjolnir and an unborn child with her.
What Makes Dr. Franken Stein Awesome
- Stein can use any weapon as well as weaponize his own wave link to directly attack his enemies for massive damage and stitch himself and others to the terrain.
- Dr. Stein has an amazing name that pays tribute to Dr. Frankenstein and Frankenstein’s monster where Dr. Frankern Stein is both.
7. Tsubaki Nakatsukasa
The best scene of Tsubaki is when she fought her brother alone for control of the dark blade that has been passed down through the generations of her family.
Tsubaki is a great friend and is the perfect partner for Black Star grounding him so he doesn’t let his pride get ahead of him as well as being the best weapons and tools for him.
- Tsubaki is an amazing character and the perfect partner for Black Star, she’s like a caring, big sister or mom who sees the best in everyone and wants everyone to be the best form of themselves that they can be.
- Being a member of the Nakatsukasa Clan Tsubaki is one of the few rare weapons able to take on more than one form such as a shuriken, smoke bomb, ninja blade, and others.
- She joined the DWMA to stop her older brother Masamune from becoming a Kishin in hopes of saving him.
What Makes Tsubaki Nakatsukasa Awesome
- Tsubaki is one of the oldest, of the main cast, of students and it shows through her maturity and forgiveness as well as patience with Black Star.
- She’s the perfect partner for Black Star with him being an assassin-type meister and Tsubaki being able to change into various ninja tools making them a powerful team.
6. Lord Death
The coolest scene and one of the coolest fights of Lord Death are when Kishin Asura is freed and Lord Death has to fight him even though he doesn’t have a scythe Lord Death is still very powerful and has plenty of magic power left to hold Asura at bay.
Lord Death, the big man himself is one of the most powerful beings in the series with only a couple of others even coming close such as the Kishin and Arachne Gorgon.
- Lord Death is always funny when he is on screen because of the altered appearance he uses to make himself seem friendly and his soft voice.
- Lord Death has two sons Death the Kid and the Kishin, Asura.
- When Lord Death wanted to make a way for humans to face witches he created demon weapons but soon stopped finding it inhumane.
What Makes Lord Death Awesome
- Even though his outward appearance is somewhat kid-friendly he is still extremely powerful and he chose to limit his power to keep DWMA and the city safe with his soul.
- Lord Death is an easy-going person but still has a serious side and is not above punishing who he thinks deserve it and he gets mad at Death Scythe because he is often acting drunk and silly as well as inappropriate at times.
5. Excalibur
Even though Excalibur doesn’t show up often his best scene was when he was found by another hunter of the sword and he sang his amazing Excalibur song.
Excalibur is the Legendary Sword of Fable with a very unique look. He is the most powerful weapon in the world and inspired the creation of Demon Weapons.
- Excalibur is an annoying but likable character because of his interactions with the meisters who go hunting for him to get the strongest weapon ever.
- Being able to match any and every meister ever is an ability unique to Excalibur but even though he has this ability he has had very few meisters.
What Makes Excalibur Awesome
- Even though Excalibur is an annoying character his interactions with meisters on his quest are humorous and are a good escape from the serious episodes.
- Excalibur is an interesting character who isn’t exactly human and isn’t exactly a demon weapon making him a unique character like Lord Death.
4. Soul Eater Evans
The coolest guy with an elegant skill on the piano, Soul can make everyone's souls resonate together with his playing to defeat Mosquito.
Easily a fan favorite Soul is the scythe weapon partner of Maka with a cool guy attitude and is a great friend to have willing to do anything for his friends.
- Even though Soul isn’t capable of really attacking by himself he is capable of turning his arm into his scythe blade and uses it often to try and protect or attack.
- Soul’s family are all famous musicians and this inspired his skills on the piano
- His name is Soul Evans but his nickname and the name he is called by his friends is Soul Eater because he eats evil souls instead of absorbing them like others.
What Makes Soul Eater Evans Awesome
- Soul is a real cool dude and an amazing friend anyone would be lucky to have because he deeply cares for his friends and will protect them with his life.
- The coolest guy with some of the best dialogue with everyone he meets, his best relationship is with his partner Maka these two are what the series is about.
3. Maka Albarn
Something that has never happened before in the show, even Crona as the demon sword doesn’t do this, Maka became a weapon because of the black blood in her and Soul’s bloodstreams causing them to become one.
One of the main characters in Soul Eater Maka is a hot-headed scythe meister just like her mother, wielding her partner Soul Eater they become one of the strongest pairs ever.
- Maka is typically a nice person but has a temper especially towards his cheating father Spirit Albarn, also known as Death Scythe, but she’s what drives this series forward.
- Due to the black blood now in her body as well as her own soul wave link, Maka is immune to certain magic such as Arachne’s.
- Maka is regarded as one of the best one-star meisters and is a master with a scythe and her partner Soul is a great partner even though they often argue.
What Makes Maka Albarn Awesome
- Maka is the main character in the show with some of the coolest growth and burst of power in many fights with amazing attacks.
- Maka is an amazing character with her unique friendly personality and is the only person who was able to become friends with Crona and drive his darkness out.
2. Black Star
The last fight against Mifune shows how much Black Star has grown and his skill against a master swordsman like Mifune, even after Mifune loses they both have an amazing moment as Mifune accepts his defeat against Black Star.
Black Star is such a big guy he has to remind everyone how big he is, even though he is shorter than the other main characters and his pride often gets in his way.
- Black Star is an interesting character with a different kind of growth than other characters, he matures but is still immature at times.
- The last member of the infamous Star Clan Black Star is a master assassin and his partner Tsubaki is such a kind soul that she accepted the mark of the Star Clan in her clothes while Black Star has it tattooed on his skin.
- Sid is actually who took care of and raised Black Star as a kid after being taken in by the DWMA as a child and one reason why he’s become one of the best meisters.
What Makes Black Star Awesome
- Even though Black Star is often arrogant and loud when it comes to fighting he can be serious and when he does it’s scary and impressive to watch.
- Not only is Black Star able to use various ninja tools he’s also a martial arts master at such a young age and he’s one of few meisters who can use more than one type of tool or weapon as well as his soul wave link directly and it’s amazing to see in action.
- Even Kishin Asura acknowledged Black Star as a human worthy of being called a “Warrior God” showing how awesome Black Star is.
1. Death the Kid
The best final attack of Death the Kid, his soul resonance rockets to 2000% and 0 sound able to destroy Kishin Asura in an amazing final attack.
The youngest son of Lord Death and younger brother of Asura Death the Kid is obsessed with symmetry to a fault where it distracts him, often in dangerous situations.
- Death the Kid isn’t one of my favorite characters but is seen as the topmost loved character by-poll and for good reason, his cool style of clothing, his calm collective personality, and his overall looks make him an easy fan favorite.
- Unlike other souls, Death has black death claws floating around his soul to show his true form as a god as well as three lines of Sanzu that become connected later in the series.
What Makes Death the Kid Awesome
- Death the Kid is a fragment of Lord Death himself and obviously shows the amount of power he can use and how powerful he can become when he becomes a true god.
- Kid is one of few meisters who not only can resonate with his partner's souls once but twice for a much stronger attack that he uses to take out Kishin Asura.
