The Peashooter is an all-time favorite for any Plants vs. Zombies player. Luckily for you, there are several upgrades to this plant that makes the gameplay so much more interesting. Keep reading to learn more about these spectacular upgrades!

5. Snow Pea

The Snow Pea is a major character in the Plants vs. Zombies franchise and it keeps making its highly requested return to all upgrades of the game. This must mean that it is quite powerful, right? Correct! The Snow Pea is definitely a warrior that you should add to your gameplay. It functions as the typical Peashooter, but it has a very potent feature where each blast slows zombies down or even freezes them! Slower zombies mean that you can cause more damage to them. The Snow Pea is most definitely a must-have if you have any intention of winning the ultimate battle between the plants and the plant-hungry zombies!

4. The Repeater 

The Repeater is also another famously powerful plant in the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. It remains a fan favorite as it is an incredible upgrade of The Peashooter. It is as effective as two Peashooters in one plant, firing two peas at a time. This plant is extremely useful, especially when large waves of zombies approach. It causes great damage when firing at a zombie and should most definitely be implemented in your gameplay if you consider yourself a serious Plants vs. Zombies player! 

3. The Flaming Pea

The Flaming Pea is my personal favorite plant in the entire Plants vs. Zombies franchise, and many other fans seem to agree with me! This powerful warrior shoots peas that are on fire. This plant’s attacking strategy is very similar to The Torchwood, another famous character in the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. The Flaming Pea’s projectiles cause twice as much damage as the original Peashooter and the fun thing about this plant is that its shots can break the barrels of Barrel Zombies as well as melt the ice block of Ice Block Zombies in a single shot! This plant is potent and very crucial to your gameplay. Take my word for it!

2. The Threepeater

If you thought that The Repeater was cool, get a load of this! The Threepeater is an extremely powerful upgrade of The Peashooter. This plant also fires peas at incoming zombies, but instead of firing a single pea at a time, it shoots 3 peas at once! And that’s not all. The Threepeater can direct its peas to the rows above and below where it is planted. This means that it will be attacking zombies simultaneously in several rows! If that does not sound incredible to you, I do not know what will. The Threepeater has made its appearance in several versions of the Plants vs. Zombies franchise, proving its effectiveness across all platforms. If I can give you a piece of advice: use the Threepeater wherever you can! 

1. The Gatling Pea

Just by looking at The Gatling Pea, you can tell that it is serious about causing some real damage to zombies. This plant is also a recurring character in the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. Let me tell you why. The Gatling Pea is a spectacular upgrade of The Peashooter. Its attacking strategy is similar to that of The peashooter, but instead of only firing a single pea at a time, this plant shoots 4 peas at once! The damage this plant causes to a zombie is impeccable. I would definitely suggest placing The Gatling pea in your gameplay strategy as it will guarantee instant victory. There is no zombie alive (or undead?) that can withstand the power of The Gatling Pea, and that’s a fact!
