HP are set to move ahead of the competition.

Remember Hewlett-Packard?

Technology mogul company Hewlett-Packard has been around since 1939, started by two entrepreneurs David Packard and William Hewlett and features prominently as one of Forbes most valuable brands. In 2015, the company split into HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprises. Since the split, HP has seen its sales and profits increase. HP, well known developing a mid-range series of laptops, desktops, and printers, is stepping up their game and entering the high-end market.

HP is already on the move with sales up 4% for the first quarter of 2017 compared to 2016, net profits sitting nicely around $611 million. Laptop and PC sales have not been what the company wants, sitting only at 2% of their total sales, so they have developed a new design to market to that hardcore gamer.

What has HP done to entice hardcore gamers?

The launch of the HP Omen-X, a totally customisable hardcore gaming PC in 2016, shows that HP means serious business and wants to appeal to that elusive serious gamer market. WIth hardware that is fully compatible to industry standards, you can make this beast your own. The specs are real. The Omen-X has a whopping 10 USB ports, a separate mic jack, and a headphone/mic jack combo.

Other highlights of the Omen-X are the cooling system that keeps your hot components separate and cools from top down, top of the line NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards, an Intel-K processor, 32gb memory, and space for 4 storage drives giving you up to 3tb of storage. By being able to customize and add your own purchased components into the Omen-X, your gaming PC can easily be the best on the market.

But that’s not all, the Omen also comes as a laptop. Touting similar specs as the desktop, you can take all your gaming needs with you and not lose anything by going mobile, making it perfect for the LAN Party of the future. Still not convinced?

The Omen-X comes complete with optional Virtual Reality headset, letting you step straight into your games. HP has worked with the best and brightest to bring you the realest VR on the market making software up to 90 frames per second run smooth as butter. But it’s not just the headset, HP’s Oculus RIft and HTC Vive both come complete with surround sound and handheld joysticks to fully immerse you into the game.

But that is not all! HP have just revealed they will be releasing the Omen in a model you can wear as a backpack. This will give you the ultimate, fully immersive VR experience - you won’t be tied down to a clunky desktop base and there is no risk of falling over cables. The new Omen model doesn’t have a release date yet but it will change the future of gaming forever.
