Mitchell
Darrell Mitchell has been a gamer for well over 20 years and has an extensive knowledge of console gaming from the 80's to the current generation. Having published reviews and articles for A Wild Podcast Appears, articles for several blogs and his own personal projects, Darrell naturally found his way to games journalism. He used his experience as a lifelong gamer to make many observations about the industry, in particular how stories were told through the medium.
As a fantasy writer, he has spent most of his time as a gamer with RPGs and narrative rich games. Having been a writer since elementary school, Darrell has written his own comics, short stories and fanfics of various gaming characters and mileus. Story and storytelling are his areas of passion and expertise. After playing Indigo Prophecy, he became focused on storytelling in gaming. In writing his own fantasy novels, he became aware of how different the medium of videogames is when it comes to telling a story. It's an area worth exploring and is often overlooked, even in some narrative driven games. Darrell seeks to refocus the lens on good game storytelling.
