The second a player presses the start button when creating a new character in a role playing game, a story begins. From that moment forward every action, every decision, is a defining moment in that player's legacy as they act as both the writer and protagonist of their own story. Whether one chooses to be a sneaky rogue, an arcane sorcerer, a devious scoundrel, or an upstanding hero is up to the individual, although one thing remains certain: no two characters are the same.

Having been an avid gamer for most of his life, Nick has first-hand experience watching as these types of games have developed and evolved over the years, becoming more and more immersive with each generation. Because of this, he feels that role playing games are more "up his alley", as they often require players to look at a situation from multiple angles and different perspectives. Does it matter if a petty thief was stealing in order to feed his starving family, or should he be treated the same as all the other criminals of the kingdom? Is the player someone a humble member of the common folk, or someone who rules them with an iron fist? The possibilities are only as limited as the imagination.

It was this very drive to create, mixed with a love for literature, that eventually sent Nick on a journey to learn all that he could about writing. Having gone to school in pursuit of a BA in English, Nick was member of the Equinox newspaper as a journalist, and now spends his free time writing Creative short stories.
