Hello there, my name is Dan Martin, and my expertise in writing would have to be in both Creative Writing and poetry.

The one area of game writing I'm an expert in would have to be in RPG games. Primarily because I love the amount of control you have over your character in those games; with the more obvious changes including physical appearance, skin tone, hair style, and eye color. However, my personal favorite aspect of RPG games is just how much time and work is put into building the world of the game itself. A good example of effective world building would have to be in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which includes 337 books in the game; with some books giving a new perspective about the world of Tamriel while others are just filler text that players could easily skip over.

One of my most notable achievements would have to be writing a idiom poem about the shooting of Michael Brown back in 2015 and submitting as part of my assignment in the 10th grade. And actual, I've been highly interested with the subject of English, writing, and just how to effectively tell a story as well as how to communicate certain information.

My experience in gaming involves playing first-person shooters and RPG games and a couple of the games I love the most would have to be Fallout: New Vegas because of how fleshed out the world in itself is; especially when it comes to the amount of tribes who occupy a certain part of the game map and which NPC's you can talk to who even have a personal story behind them. In all fairness, I've played other games such as Red Dead Redemption and Sid Meyer's Civilization Revolution that aren't in the same genre ballpark as the one's I've already described, but a little variety never hurt.

Probably one of my favorite aspects about writing about games is in the research. Mainly because it's very interesting to read about the backstory behind a certain mechanic or even playing through a game and discovering either a specific detail or an Easter egg you didn't know was in the game to begin with.
