Andi has been gaming since his dad pointed at a NES sitting on a retail store rack and asked him, "You want this, right?"
He said no, that he honestly had no idea what the thing was, but Dad assured the young Andi that, in fact, he should want it very much. It was enough to convince Andi, who in turn convinced Mom, and they drove home with a new NES. Those rare times Dad actually let Andi play the darn thing are some of his favorite memories from childhood.
Andi has more than 3 years of experience writing about video games. He loves getting into the guts of a game, picking it apart, and collating his findings into handy tutorials and how-to guides. Andi also has strong opinions about the games he plays and why he thinks they're great (or not so great). Metroidvanias, platformers, and dungeon-crawling roguelikes are his jam, but he'll give almost any game a fair shake, as long as it's on PC (and on sale).
