An example of what a crosshair looks like in Overwatch 2

How Crosshairs Affect You

Crosshairs are a useful tool that affects how you aim. In Overwatch 2, the crosshair you use is more important than ever because the 5v5 environment encourages you to think and aim faster. However, selecting the best crosshair for your needs can be difficult. To help you choose, here is a list of the best crosshairs that pro Overwatch players use.

10. FunnyAstro

FunnyAstro's preferred crosshair settings

Daniel “FunnyAstro” Hathaway is a British Overwatch League support player known for his Lucio gameplay. He is currently playing for the Los Angeles Gladiators. A fun fact about FunnyAstro is that he’s one of the only professional players who frequently plays quick play.

FunnyAstro has plenty of achievements. Although this one doesn’t lead to a cash prize, FunnyAstro has been the #1 player worldwide multiple times. Professionally, FunnyAstro and his team won first place in the July 2022 OWL Midseason Madness. They also won first place in June 2022 for the OWL Kickoff Clash.

FunnyAstro uses a circle crosshair that gives him a wide space to aim. As a support player, aim isn’t as important, but having a wide range to aim with is imperative to survival. FunnyAstro’s crosshair type has led him to plenty of success, which is why you should consider using it.

What’s Good About This Crosshair

  • This crosshair provides a wide margin that gives the player good guidance
  • It’s easy to see
  • Gives you a clear target range

9. HOTBA

HOTBA's preferred crosshair settings

Choi "HOTBA" Hong-joon is a South Korean tank player that plays for the Toronto Defiant. Most commonly, you’ll see him playing D.Va, Zarya, and Sigma. A fun fact about him is that he is one of only six players in the entire Overwatch League who have played for four different teams.

As for his achievements, HOTBA has earned several third-place prizes. Most recently, in September 2022, HOTBA and his team took third place in the OWL 2022 Summer Showdown. A little farther back, in September 2020, he and his team took third place in the OWL Asia Playoffs.

HOTBA’s crosshair is quite literally a crosshair that’s shaped like a plus sign. It’s dark and easy to set. Personally, I use dark crosshairs as well and have seen much success with them.

What’s Good About This Crosshair

  • Dark enough that it isn’t distracting
  • Small but accurate
  • Guides you to make accurate headshots

8. BenBest

BenBest's preferred crosshair settings

Benjamin "BenBest" Dieulafait is a French Overwatch tank player currently playing for Team Peps. His signature heroes are Reinhardt, Winston, and Orisa. A fun fact about BenBest is that his last name means "God made him" (Dieu l’a fait).

One of his achievements is that he and his team placed second in the Overwatch Contenders 2022 Summer Series: Europe B-Sides. Back in 2020, he and his team also earned first place at the OWL Summer Showdown.

His crosshair is similar to FunnyAstro’s, only his is smaller, making for a more precise aim. Since he’s a tank player, not a support, this smaller crosshair allows him to aim better with heroes like Orisa.

What’s Good About This Crosshair

  • Light and easy to see
  • Small target range makes for better aim
  • Large dot helps land headshots

7. JAKE

JAKE's preferred crosshair setings

Jacob “JAKE” Lyon is an American coach and DPS currently working for the Houston Outlaws. His signature heroes are Junkrat, Genji, and Soldier 76, but he’s working more on coaching than playing nowadays. A fun fact about JAKE is that outside of gaming, he also likes rock climbing and hiking.

JAKE has many achievements as both a coach and a player, but his most impressive achievements come from his time as a player. During the Flash Ops: Echo Showdown - NA in 2020, JAKE and his team took first place. As a coach, his team took approximately fifth to sixth place in the 2022 OWL Summer Showdown.

His crosshair is a small circle that fits his DPS role well. The tiny size never interrupts the player’s focus, but it also provides them with an advantage. The size of this crosshair is about the size of a headshot hitbox on the average Overwatch hero (DPS and supports).

What’s Good About This Crosshair

  • Never gets in the way
  • Easy to see but not distracting
  • Perfect for DPS players trying to land headshots

6. Decay

Decay's preferred crosshair settings

Jang “Decay” Gui-un is a South Korean DPS player currently playing with the Washington Justice. His signature heroes are Tracer, Widowmaker, and Cassidy. A fun fact about Decay is that he’s become a very desirable player who has played for the LA Gladiators, the Dallas Fuel, and finally the Washington Justice.

Decay has not had many recent achievements, but in late 2020, Decay and his team took home third place at the OWL North America Playoffs. Along with that, one of the achievements that put him on the map as a star player was the Overwatch Contenders 2018 Season 2: Korea tournament, where he and his team took second place.

Decay’s crosshair is a tiny dot that’s very difficult to see. Although this may seem like a bad thing, as a player who primarily plays long-ranged heroes, Decay needs the small size to help him land headshots.

What’s Good About This Crosshair

  • Tiny size makes for good headshots
  • Not at all distracting to the player
  • Hard to see, which is good for those who don’t like using crosshairs

5. Danteh

Danteh's preferred crosshair settings

Dante "Danteh" Cruz is an American DPS player for the Houston Outlaws. His signature heroes are Tracer, Echo, and Doomfist. A fun fact about Danteh is that he originally played offtank before a DPS player on his team left, so he had to adapt to fill that role.

Danteh is an extremely popular Overwatch player. Thanks to that, he has many achievements under his name. Not only does he have a popular YouTube channel, but he also took home first place with his team during the 2021 Flash Ops: Kanezaka Community Tournament - NA.

Small crosshairs are Danteh’s choice since they aren’t distracting but easy to see, fit any role in the game (DPS, tank, or support), and have a nice length.

What’s Good About This Crosshair

  • Can fit every role
  • Easy to find for those who get distracted easily
  • Small dot gives you more focus on the crosshair

Fury's preferred crosshair settings

Kim "Fury" Jun-ho is a tank player in the OWL who is currently playing for the Philadelphia Fusion. His signature heroes are D.Va, Zarya, and Sigma, but he is most known for his D.Va. A fun fact about Fury is that he is the first player in the OWL to have killed someone with Torbjörn's hammer.

Fury has many achievements; one of those was when he and his team took home second place in the OWL 2022 Kickoff Clash. Over the summer, he and his team took fourth place in the OWL 2022 Midseason Madness.

Fury has tiny green crosshairs that don’t take up too much space on the screen. Crosshairs are very popular among the pros, and Fury is yet another OWL player who has them.

What’s Good About This Crosshair

  • Small and out of the way
  • Bright color still makes it visible despite the small size
  • The crosshairs aren’t very long

Lee "Carpe" Jae-hyeok is a South Korean tank player currently playing with the Philadelphia Fusion. His signature heroes are Cassidy, Widowmaker, and Tracer. A fun fact about Carpe is that he was the first OWL player to reach 4,000 final blows.

Carpe is very popular in the Overwatch community, and he has many accomplishments. For starters, he and his team recently took fourth place in the OWL 2022 Midseason Madness. Along with that, he and his team took second place in the OWL 2022 Kickoff Clash.

Carpe’s crosshairs are a small dot with a bright purple color to give them visibility without being too distracting. Since he’s a DPS player, this crosshair is perfect for him.

  • Never distracting due to its small size
  • Perfect for headshots

Profit's preferred crosshair settings

Park "Profit" Joon-yeong is a South Korean DPS player currently playing for Seoul Dynasty. His signature heroes are Tracer, Genji, and Hanzo. A fun fact about Profit is that he was the first OWL player to reach 10,000 total eliminations.

Profit's winnings amount to approximately $500,000 in total. His largest win came back in 2018 when he and his team took first place in the OWL Inaugural Season Playoffs, earning $1 million to be split between them. More recently, he and his team took first place in the OWL 2022 Kickoff Clash.

Profit is arguably one of the best DPS players in the OWL, so if you’re a DPS player, following in his footsteps is a good idea. His crosshair is medium-length and bright, making it perfect for landing both head and bodyshots.

What’s Good About This Crosshair

  • Bright enough to see easily
  • Wide center gap for ease of aiming
  • No dot for players who dislike dots

1. Fleta

Fleta's preferred crosshair settings

Kim “Fleta” Byung-sun is a South Korean DPS player currently playing for the Shanghai Dragons. His signature heroes are Echo, Genji, and Tracer. A fun fact about Fleta is that, like Profit, he is commonly referred to as one of the best, if not the best, DPS players in the OWL.

Fleta and his team have won first place four consecutive times in the OWL 2022 Summer Showdown, the OWL 2021 Playoffs, the OWL 2021 Summer Showdown, and the OWL 2021 June Joust.

Fleta’s crosshairs are tiny and bright, a common pattern with many of the OWL DPS players. These small crosshairs are great for headshots and keeping a steady focus on the game.

What’s Good About This Crosshair

  • Very small and not distracting
  • Bright color still makes it visible
