Marvel Snap, Best Cards, Best Marvel Snap Cards, Marvel

Whether you’re about to start playing Marvel Snap or you’ve recently started playing and you don’t know which cards are good or not - this article will show you the most versatile cards that you can get early on.

15. Jessica Jones 4/4

Jessica Jones is in most cases a big value generator that takes up a single space!

Jessica Jones is a great addition to any deck because for 4 mana you can get 8 power, just as long as you don’t plan on playing anything on the location after her.

She can quickly fix and contest a location, letting you focus on the other two for the next round.

14. Hulk 6/12

Hulk is a great pick if you don’t know what to add as your 6 drop.

It guarantees +12 on a zone as long as it’s in your hand. There are better cards for that mana, but still, a well placed hulk on turn 6 oftentimes wins a game.

13. Hawkeye 1/1

Hawkeye is a great addition to many decks, especially at the beginning, when you don’t have too many cards.

It’s a 1 mana card that almost always gives you 3 points. There are many better one drops but you have this one as soon as you start playing the game. It’s useful and you will see a lot of it at the beginning.

12. Medusa 2/2

Medusa is a 2 mana card that gives you 4 power 90% of the time.

Once you play medusa at the middle location, you’re sure to get the +2, which is good in and of itself, but medusa also finds its way neatly in the On Reveal decks which can use her effect to its fullest.

11. Rocket Raccoon 1/2

A well-placed Rocket Raccoon can bring you 4 power for just 1 mana.

Rocket Raccoon has a statline of many one-mana cards. But it can easily double its attack if you play it right. If you guess correctly on turn one where your opponent will play their card, you’ve got a better start than them. And if you play rocket later in the game, you have higher chances of generating value with him.

10. Mantis 1/2

Drawing cards is rarely a hindrance in most card games.

Mantis is a one drop that can potentially draw you a card. If placed correctly, you will draw a card from the top of your opponent’s deck, which if you’re lucky can be a card that’s crucial to their combo. More card draw is always useful, in any case.

9. Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler lets you have a bit more freedom with the plays you make.

Nightcrawler also has a basic one drop stats, but the simple effect that lets him move once per game, can change so much. It’s a card that’s always useful, weather you need to add one more card to a location to proc Ant-man’s ability, or you need to free some space to play a location winning card, Nightcrawler always gives you more utility and options with how you play.

8. Angela 2/1

Angela is a card that costs 2 mana, but can quite easily give you 7 power.

Every time you play a card at Angela’s location, she gets +2 power. Simple and very effective. As long as you’re playing a deck that has a few cheap cards that you want to get out on the field during the game, Angela is likely to quickly and easily secure a location.

7. Scarlet Witch 2/3

Scarlet Witch is a great utility card that can stop your opponent from surely winning if the locations are in his favor.

Scarlet Witch has the ability to change a location into a completely random new one. Which doesn’t sound like much, you still have a chance to get a bad location, but it can greatly turn the tide of the game. Locations like Kamar-taj and Onslaught Citadel will always be a problem if you’re not playing decks that synergise with them.

6. Quicksilver 1/2

Quicksilver is not the most powerful 1-cost card, but it is the most consistent one!

Quicksilver’s effect makes him start the game in your hand. Which means that, if you’re playing quicksilver you don’t have to worry about missing a turn one play. It’s a rather simple card, but it can find a way into any deck if you don’t have a better 1 drop.

5. Enchantress 4/4

Enchantress is a great way to cancel out those pesky Ongoing decks.

A well timed Enchantress can negate the effects of crucial combo pieces your opponent may have in their Ongoing deck. If you’ve been facing a lot of Ongoing decks and don’t know what to do about it, add Enchantress to your deck to make those matchups easier.

4. Cosmo 3/3

Cosmo is a great utility when up against On Reveal decks.

Cosmo is a card whose sole purpose is to cancel out all of the On Reveal effects on a single location. He’s good if you want to contest a location, but he can also be used to cancel out a specific card if you think you know where your opponent will play his key cards.

3. Iron Man 5/0

Iron man is a card that can almost certainly win you a location for 5 mana.

The effect to simply double your points on a single location is great. Iron Man can win you a location that you and your opponent have put a lot of points in, and in general, he will give you a lot of points wherever you play him.

2. America Chavez 6/9

America Chavez is a consistent 9 power on turn 6.

9 power is not the best you get for 6 cost cards, but instead, you will draw her on every turn 6. The consistency that this card provides in any deck that doesn’t have a better 6 cost to run. You will see a lot of it at the early stages of the game, and for a good reason.

1.  Killmonger 3/3

Killmonger is the ultimate counter for decks that run a lot of 1-cost cards.

One of the strongest decks you can play with the pool 1 cards is the Kazar/Blue Marvel that spams a lot of 1 drops and gives the power. This card completely negates that deck, and can severely cripple other decks. For a 3 cost card this card gives a lot of value.
