For the first pick of our list we have chosen Germany. Since it is the main factor for the start of the war in the game,(and in real life), to the, it is quite important for the game. This leads to many opportunities for the player to explore in the game, dominating the world as hitler, or bringing back the Kaiser!

4. United States

From history, we know that the USA has emerged as one of two superpowers after WW2. playing as the USA in this exciting period in its history, makes for a very fun experience. As a nation with a large industry, you are able to field a large army, and lead the world as it’s “Arsenal of democracy”. Furthermore, the player can choose an alternate path, where the player can choose to side with the Soviet Union, or even with the Germans to forge the new map of the world

Why the United States is Great:

3.Communist China

The Chinese civil war is still brewing, and Communist China is all but defeated. But, there is still hope yet. Communist China makes for a very challenging, and also very fun experience, where you have to defeat the Japanese, the Nationalists, and also the warlords to unify all of China.This campaign will truly test your Hoi4 Expertise and it will push you to the brink.

2. France

In 1936, most of the French population was very much against war, and the country was rifed with political instability. Fast forward to 1940, France fell to Germany almost in an instant and all seemingly because of a military blunder. Who knows, maybe YOU will be the one which will reverse the outcome in the war, and lead France into victory. Or, you will join the Germans and establish a new world order! These are only some of the interesting opportunities which is offered by France in the game, which you can explore.

Spain might be one of the most interesting countries in this period. Being at the prelude of a bloody civil war, you can choose in which direction Spain will head. And there are plenty of paths you can choose in the game, a total of 8, to be exact. You can either go towards a far left path, or a far right one, and everything in between! Whatever path you choose, it is not going to be easy, You will have to fight for it in the bloody civil war which is soon to follow
