5. Marco 5 / KAR98k (MW)

Smooth Like Butter

The Marco 5 by Ryda is a well-rounded, highly versatile SMG. It has incredible movement pacing and smooth sustained fire attributes. The looks and feel is reminiscent of the Mac10. 

For an all-out pressure situation, you’ll want to use the Gung-ho perk, which allows you to fire while sprinting. This comes in handy when playing ring-around-the-buildings. 

It’s a great sniper support weapon, which is why it’s paired with the smooth Kar98k. It does quality short and mid-range damage. The ADS is fast when the Imerito FR stock, taped grip, and Mark VI Skeletal are attached. 

The heartbeat sensor helps track down your next victims. Take them down with the stable Marco5, then finish them with a throwing knife. 64 rounds are helpful, but you’ll want to have throwing knives on-hand to conserve ammunition. 

The Marco5 is a solid option for your loadout.

4. Armaguerra 43 / STG

Simple and Smooth Does It

If you’re looking for an SMG that will handle short to mid-range, the stable Armaguerra 43 is an excellent choice. This build by TCaptainX showcases the Armaguerra's fully unlocked potential. 

The highly accurate Botti 570mm precision barrel gives this SMG a mid-range distance without decreasing movement with the Imerito SA Folding stock. The recoil booster dishes out bullets at a fast fire rate. 

With the SG98 Compact foregrip, closeup hip-fire accuracy will give you the upper-hand needed to win gunfights. Sleight of hand quickens your reload time, giving you an advantage to dish out more bullets.

The well-balanced STG44 complements the Armaguerra with its long-range capabilities. 

Don’t forget to stink it up with your gas grenades as you push the squads that prefer to hold down a building. 

I’ve found this loadout to be satisfying knowing that all the ranges of engagements are covered.

3. H4 Blixen

Damage, Damge, Damge! 

What more is there to say about the H4 Blixen? It’s been nerfed 8 times and it still hits hard. It’s an obvious choice as a top 5 SMG build brought to you by EyeQew. 

The recoil booster helps speed the gun along, but the fire rate is still slower than other SMGs. It makes up for the slower fire rate with the damage points. 

It’s not very accurate when hip-firing, but it's controllable while aiming down sights.  

The 54 rounds are enough ammunition to down an enemy. Stick a thermite to their chest and watch the fireworks! 

Overall, the H4 Blixen is an unstoppable force among SMGs.

2. MP40 (VG)/ Grau (MW)

Can't Catch Me - I'm Too Fast! 

The MP40 is Vanguard’s classic SMG. It is tried and true. This build by washyourrhands gives you flying mobility, control, and fire rate. 

The 189mm Short barrel, removed stock, and Mark VI Skeletal foregrip increased mobility and ADS. Equipping the Brace perk decreases initial firing penalties, allowing the player to control the recoil with ease. 

Because the MP40’s range is lacking, you’ll want to run the Grau AR as your secondary. I’ve found that these two guns work extremely well in tandem. Be sure to attach the 60 Round Mags on the Grau. The 45 rounds attached to the MP40 will need help taking down multiple enemies during a gunfight. 

This loadout is meant to push teams with the help of throwing knives and stun grenades – it’s a good way to get rowdy out there with your squad!

1. PPSH (VG) / Automaton 

Prepare To Hear Whiney Death Comm's

The Vanguard PPSH is the top dog of the SMG currently. With this build by kunjTV, you’ll find speed, accuracy, and an incredibly fast fire rate! 

You will need to pair the Recoil Booster with the Kovaleskaya 230mm barrel to achieve the maximum rate. The 71 round Nambu mags give you plenty of ammunition to engage with multiple enemies. 

The recoil travels vertically to the right, but it’s easy to control. Running Tight Grip gives you higher accuracy and control. 

The PPSH is the top tier for melting targets at close range. The extra damage from the hollow points allows for the slight edge you’ll need to take down a player. 

If you’d like the PPSH to have better accuracy and limit recoil penalties, attach the ZAC 300mm barrel and Carver Foregrip. Of course, it’s player preference. Follow your heart. 

You’ll notice the quick mobility of the PPSH as you glide around the map as if you were skating on ice.
