[Top 15] Brawlhalla Best Legends that are Powerful (Latest Patch)

Bodvar
Who is the best legend in Brawlhalla? No. 2 will shock you!

Brawlhalla Cover

This 2D Brawler has 56 “Legends” so choosing the top 15 was no easy task. Each one has a unique set of stats and some are more important than others but a well-balanced legend is always better. Another thing I considered was which weapons the legend uses since it is just as important while ranking.

Disclaimer: This list includes the legends that are great IN MY OPINION, so you have the right to disagree if you’re a noob.

15. Diana:

Diana Brawlhalla

Diana of the Exalted Lion

Diana belongs to the order of the Exalted Lion and is also the national hero of Batavia. She comes equipped with the bow and blasters and has balanced stats. She has good speed which is vital when using blasters. What makes her great are her down and neutral signatures on the bow. One of the top Brawlhalla esports players, Boomie used her for tournaments as well.

What makes her great?

  • The down light, neutral signature combo is a sure kill on the edge of the stage if the opponent’s dodge is dried up.
  • The side signature for the bow is a great kill option on dark orange and red stocks especially on the edge.
  • She’s pretty.
  • All the weapons got nerfed, but the bow and blasters remain untouched.

14. Cross:

Cross Brawlhalla

Cross... is that really a name?

PFC Joseph Cross was a gangster who dominated the New York underworld. He is equipped with one of the best weapons, gauntlets and the most annoying, the blasters. If this is not enough, look at his stats, Cross is a masterpiece.Another great thing about him is  that the side signature on both weapons has a lot of force.

Cross’s on the list because:

  • His signatures have a lot of force, especially the neutral signature on gauntlets.
  • There is an insane number of true combos you can do with the blasters.
  • Who doesn’t like gangsters?

13. Kor:

Kor Brawlhalla

Kor the Invincible

Kor the Unvanquished, Kor the Destroyer, Kor the Magnificent. Kor is known by many names, he’s responsible for moving the floating platforms in Blackguard Keep. The mighty golem has an awesome combination of weapons; the gauntlets for building up damage and hammer for knocking out his opponents. His signatures are absolutely amazing, big hit boxes and small recovery frames. Kor is not that difficult to master either.

Why is Kor in the top 15?

  • He has great attack and defense. He’s a bit slow as compared to others but makes it up with his attack stats.
  • I love Kor’s side and neutral signature on the hammer. They’re fast and can be integrated with light attacks as well and the hitboxes have decent range.
  • The down light, neutral signature is true with the hammer

12. Mako:

Mako Brawlhalla

Mako.... sounds Japanese! Right?

Mako is the most feared child of Poseidon. Katars and the great sword was buffed in this patch so she’s a good option right now. Her speed is insane. The great sword is a slow weapon, but Mako’s speed makes it deadly. My favorite signature is the side signature of her great sword. Why? Suppose your jumps and recoveries are exhausted and you’re off stage, how are you gonna save yourself? Bingo, Mako’s side signature.

The reasons for picking Mako?

  • Mako’s neutral signature on both weapons is a great option for early kills at the edge and off stage.
  • I was scared if I didn’t pick her, she would eat me alive.
  • Both her down signatures are good but the one with great sword has more range
  • She has probably the fastest great sword in the game.

11. Jaeyun:

Jaeyun Brawlhalla

Ah, he's my favourite.

Jaeyun the sells-word, a legendary mercenary who has gambled his treasures away countless times. A balanced legend with two great weapons; the sword and great sword. You cannot go wrong with this legend. His sword is quick, and the great sword has cool signatures that cover a lot of area. The side signature on Jaeyun’s sword also has high force.

Why did I put Jaeyun in this list?

  • I’m a little biased because he’s one of my favorite legends in the game.
  • His great sword’s signatures are insane. I mean look at the hitboxes, they are HUGE.
  • The down signature on the great sword is like an anti-wall-hugger move.
  • I love his down light, gravity cancel, neutral signature with the sword. It’s not true but kills early.

10. Ulgrim

Ulgrim Brawlhalla

His signatures are so cool :-)

Ulgrim stands proud amongst the sons of Ivaldi. He boasts about his carefully crafted lance and axe. Both weapons are generally slow, but Ulgrim’s high speed makes up for it. Ulgrim’s down signature on the lance has been improved in this patch and now is more usable. Cosolix has used it in a number of tournaments and according to him, Ulgrim has one of the best stats in the game.

Ulgrim is on number 10 because:

  • Ulgrim’s axe is really fast. I mained this legend to mid-platinum in a season so I’m confident.
  • His lance’s neutral signature has great placement and can be used for an early knockout.
  • The axe’s slide-charged down signature knocks out wall huggers 90% of the time.
  • The side light, neutral signature can also be used with exhausted dodges.

9. Onyx:

Onyx Brawlhalla

I bet you didn't know Onyx is a girl!

Onyx was the guardian of castle Batavia and defended the castle for hundreds of years. Equipped with the gauntlets and cannon, she is literally the toughest legend in Brawlhalla only second to Magyar in terms of defense. Onyx is really hard to knock out, especially for me whose most used weapon are the Katars. She is a good option for aggressive players.

I put Onyx in here because:

  • Her side signature on both weapons covers a lot of ground range and can easily catch opponents dash dancing on the stage.
  • My favorite move on Onyx is the cannon’s neutral signature.
  • The cannon’s side light, side air combo was improved in this patch, so Onyx is in great shape right now.

8. Teros:

Teros Brawlhalla

Teros, I hate playing against him

The minotaur, Teros, follows his instinct for reckless combat. Teros is literally the most feared legend in the game. The axe and hammer are weapons with high damage, give them to a legend with 8 base attack and you get the creature of destruction, Teros. Personally, I get really nervous when a Teros comes up in ranked.

Why did I include Teros?

  • His side signatures knock out low-defense legends on orange stocks.
  • The downlight, neutral signature on hammer used to be true but now it’s one dodge frame.
  • He can be countered with legends that have high speed. I use Asuri for that.
  • The neutral signature on axe is insane as it knocks out almost effortlessly off stage.

7. Orion:

Orion Brawlhalla

The legend I started playing Brawlhalla with

The most interesting thing about Orion is his armor, nobody knows what’s underneath it. He is equipped with the lance and spear; both are long and a good counter against close-range weapons. The reason people don’t like Orion is because many spammers use him. He is a great legend, nonetheless.

I like Orion because…. Oh, I mean, Orion is number 7 because:

  • The spear’s neutral signature hits twice and kills early on the edge.
  • Side light, neutral signature with the lance is a good kill option.
  • The move we all hate but love to use is the down signature on spear. It has a lot of area and covers spot dodges.
  • In short, Orion is quite fast, and his signatures are great. This makes him a well-balanced legend.

6. Mordex:

Mordex Brawlhalla

Mordex is a real badass

Octavius Mordex became a werewolf on purpose. He used to be a part of the order of the Exalted Lion. This legend has won the most competitions in Brawlhalla esports using the scythe and gauntlets. He is a little difficult to master but Sandstorm is the undisputed guru of Mordex in Brawlhalla universe and has won many tournaments using this legend.

Mordex made it to the top 10 because:

  • He could’ve made it to top 5 but his scythe’s neutral signature was nerfed this patch.
  • He has really good stats; 6 attack and 7 speed pack a really good combo guys.
  • His signatures are fast, especially the down signature on both weapons that many players use for early knockouts.
  • The scythe’s side signature has insane amount of range and can be combined with strings off stage as well.
  • Unpopular truth about him; using Sandstorm’s legend doesn’t make you a good player, guys, seriously, stop using Mordex if you don’t know how to play with him.

5. Koji:

Koji Brawlhalla

I love you Kojiiiii

The second son Koji comes from a line of swordsmen. Using his family’s famed demon-slaying sword and a bow, Koji is my favorite legend in the game. He gives me that Naruto-ninja kinda vibe. Koji has no punishable moves. What else do you expect with 8 dexterity? He has also won tournaments.

What makes Koji great?

  • The side signature on the bow seems slow at first but you’ll literally walk right into it.
  • The downlight, gravity cancel, neutral signature on his sword is a true combo.
  • Koji is very hard to punish because of his dexterity.
  • The weapon combination is great; both weapons build up damage.
  • The sword is close range, and the bow has a longer range. You never know which type of player is gonna pop up so Koji is always prepared.

4. Val:

Val Brawlhalla

'Hello World!' said Val

She was a result of the MBFC Automation Lab’s VAL Project 701. Sporting the gauntlets and sword, Val is never a bad choice. She has one of the best stats in the entire game. Val is used for both 1s and 2s matches. Her attack stance is probably the best one to use.

Why is she on the list?

  • Her sword’s side signature has 3 variations and the one used at the edge is the best one
  • She has true combos with signature moves like the down light, gravity cancel then neutral signature
  • She is one of the fastest legends in the game and the rest of the stats are also great
  • She likes movies.

3. Petra:

Petra Brawlhalla

I thought she's a guy, sorry Petra

You saw her coming, didn’t you? Petra was born and raised in Terminus, which is a prison in another dimension. Petra has been in the top 10 for a long time. She uses gauntlets and orb. Combine that with 8 damage and crazy signatures, you get the 3rd best legend in the game.

She is in the top three because:

  • The gauntlets’ neutral signature has a lot of force and a great kill option.
  • The orb’s neutral signature cover’s spot dodges.
  • You can get back on stage by gravity cancel, down signature on gauntlets.
  • The side signature on Petra got nerfed a bit but it’s still pretty good.

2. Rayman:

Rayman Brawlhalla

I loved Rayman Legends

Rayman is the annoying legend that uses axe and gauntlets. I mean, where the hell are his arms and legs? This legend has great stats and a lot players use him because of that. Rayman's axe is very fast, it has great signatures too. The gauntlets are always a good option and Rayman's stats make them all the more worthwhile.

Rayman is the second best legend because:

  • The down signature on both weapons are really good for edge guarding.
  • The side signature on the axe covers the whole stage and good for countering dash dancing.
  • The neutral signature...... It's not that good but you jump right into it.

1. Bodvar:

Bodvar Brawlhalla

How cool is this image!?

Finally, ladies and gentlemen, on number 1 is Bodvar. He's half man, half bear and a full killing machine. Bodvar will always be a good pick. The signatures are great, the stats are great. There is nothing bad about him. The animations of his signatures are very cool.

He's number one because:

  • He's won tournaments.
  • The down signature on the sword is great for edge guarding, it's fast and kills early.
  • The side signatures on both weapons are good, the hammer's is better.
  • The weapon combo is great, sword for building up damage and hammer for knocking out.
