Still the best Civ game I've ever played to this day. Gets even better when you take the time to install the extremely good community mods which do anything from enhance the game graphics to give you a thousand options to micromanage your empire. Still on my pc as of today and no plans to uninstall it in the future.

Best Civ game hands down. Better with mods. Seriously. Get this game, get mods for it and never need to play any of those sub-standard new ones. (Sooo many good mods, Caveman to Cosmos if you're looking for something so detailed it literally takes months to play a single game through. Legends of Revolution is the best 'light' mod, with lots of advanced concepts and extra bits vanilla did not have. Rise of Mankind a new dawn for the perfect balance between the two. Get it and thank me later.

Coloured, detailed, diversed game that not even worth trying to repeat. This is really best economical and historical simulator. It is helpful not only for playing it and also for learning the history. A lot of historical reference I have gained from this game. It is worth to say what this game makes with your imagination when you start to play. Also possibility to play with another players makes that game as a best choice.

Marvelous graphics perplexed with resources, government and religion diversity, brings more reality for a player. Different aspects of the game mixed with new discovery every time you start, always leaves player wanting for one more game. Battle gives a thrilling sensation of participation as the game zooms into a fight.

Civilization IV delivers yet again as one of the greatest strategy games available. This installment keeps their winning formula and simply improves on everything. Enhanced graphics over its predecessors as well as easier unit movement, clearer instructions, and the most intelligent AI yet make this the strategy game to own.
