About - Maria Burgos: Hello all! My name is Maria and I have been gaming for about 7 years, 5 of those years being a competitive gamer as well. My top games include competitive Pokemon (3DS and online), Legend of Zelda, Overwatch, OSU, Cuphead and Hearthstone. I have been gaming ever since I could functionally hold a controller in my hand and without video games, I would not be the person I am today. My favorite game genres are FPS, MMORPG, PVP and solo player games. My history in competitive gaming is mostly Pokemon, Super Smash Bros and Overwatch. I have reached top 50 in all ladders on the Pokemon Showdown website, won tournaments in Smash Bros in my local hometown, and play in an open division team for Overwatch with players from the diamond to master rank. My start in writing has been early as well for about 5 years I have been writing blogs, articles and editing papers for my fellow peers as long as I can remember. I have taken all AP courses my high school has had to offer as well as some courses as my local college. Including - Introduction to Fiction, Introduction to Short Stories, Introduction to Poetry, Creative Writing, College Essay Writing and Introduction to Play Write. I feel like my most of my creativity shows when I combine writing and video games. I could go on forever about something I am truly passionate about. Writing about games makes my writing feel sincere and helps me to put my heart and soul into it.
