About - Shyann Royalty: Shyann Royalty has been writing and gaming for years, making both things more than just a past-time--they are her career. Her Alma Mater of Murray State University maintains a great creative writing program, but she is their very first recipient of a Creative Writing degree specifically in Mixed Genre for demonstrating excellence in nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. She uses those skills to create in-depth analyses about the games she loves. While she started her life in gaming when she was three, playing Star Fox 64 with her mother, she never put the controller down. If a game came out and it had a story, Shyann was conquering it on repeat, finding her truest love in Bioware's Mass Effect series. Some of her favorites also include Bethesda's Fallout series, Bioware's Dragon Age series and Knights of the Old Republic games, and pretty much any Telltale game she could get her hands on--she lives to experience great stories and create them herself, especially if it's science fiction.. She researches every facet of a compelling story or a fascinating character--diving into to some of the things that makes games so wonderful--and writes about it; she details the things that make games accessible to its players, gives power to the people holding the controller, and changes a person's world in some way for the better.
