About - Tamara Tanney: My name is Tamara Tanney and to say I am a gaming enthusiast is an understatement. From the days of playing Diddy Kong Racing with my siblings to becoming a marketer, analysing the world of esports, I have always had an interest in gaming. My mantra when it comes to video games is to try anything and everything. While I am an avid sports-centric gamer, I will try my hand at anything from FPS games to RPG. I grew interest in the more marketing/content aspect gaming 3 years ago when I first entered the field of marketing. I was always analysing what markets were thriving and what made them different. In my time as a marketer and content creator, the gaming industry has shown the most change over the years. Aside from the obvious changes - better graphics and all the DLC in the world, gaming has become a prevalent stream of income for many and adopted by the masses. When it comes to analyzing and creating content around gaming, it's always interesting to see just how passionate individuals are about it. Gaming has gone from something kids use to do in their spare time to a massive industry loved by so many. Nowadays, I study the esports realm and the popularity it has gained. It's crazy to see how far video games have become and it's so great to be part of a forever growing community.
