After having his entire family killed by the forces of Sauron, the Ranger Talion who was also mortally wounded in the event is revived by the wraith of Elven Lord Celebrimbor, who merges with him to prevent his death. He is now given the opportunity to do what he wants the most: seek revenge after those who killed his beloved ones. Talion discovers that the wraith who revived him is the greatest Elven smith master of the Second Age, who also seeks revenge against Sauron. Setting out on a journey to find out more about the Celebrimbor identity and Sauron’s whereabouts, you will take on the role of Ranger Talion in your quest to exact revenge.

With amazing powers granted by the Elf, Talion has special skills that can enhance the battle experience, such as the power to slow down time when using the bow and the ability to drain energy from enemies. Completing quests earn the player points to craft new abilities to the sword, bow and knife. The player will also be rewarded with experience points to unlock new abilities and improve the Elf's wraith skills. In your search for Sauron, you’ll venture into the darkest areas of the Middle Earth, with plenty of enemies ready to kill you and a few allies willing to lend you a hand. Join Talion and the wraith of Celebrimbor and help them find and destroy their enemy in common.

An absolutely epic game addition to the lore of the LOTR universe. It has to be one of the best stealth-action RPGs I've ever played. The storyline was wonderful and the powers leave little to be desired. You gain the power to take on multiple enemies at once, and defeating them may yield extremely rare rewards. You HAVE TO play this if you are a gamer AND LOTR fan.

The game has a brilliant system all together and a nice revenge driven storyline. Completing the side quests of the stealthy dagger or the all out sword can also be challenging and interesting. It is a one of a kind experience and a must play. The gameplay is also very interesting with the tower climbing buildings traversing parkour skills and a nice combat system.

With slick gameplay combining the parkour of Assassin’s Creed with the combat system of the Batman: Arkham series, Shadow of Mordor is my game of 2014. The nemesis system keeps your enemies constantly evolving, and there are a great variety of quests. It’s the first sandbox game where I wanted to go back for more right away when I finished.

This juggernaut of 2014 shot out like an arrow and took aim for top game! Shadow of Mordor brings a fighting style of fast paced action, reality bending abilities, and a truly immersive experience in a new story from Middle-Earth. Take on the Orc Warlords, strategically planning your ascension to battle with the forces of Sauron!. Whether it is a stealth slaying wraith kill, a shot from your bow through an Orc skull, or a melee battle of sword slaying, the style of gameplay is in your hands!

One of the games of the year, keeps you coming back for more, countless hours of fun. The idea of Enemies that defeat you being stronger the next time you face them is game changing as well as some of the other features in the game. Slice them orcs up!!
