Set in 2020 after a huge asteroid crashes on Earth, "Crysis" begins with a military standoff between the North Korean and United States' governments for control of the impact zone. Amid rising tensions, the asteroid suddenly bursts open revealing a massive alien ship, which begins freezing vast portions of the island and altering the global weather system. The invasion of Earth has begun.

Crysis features an epic story of alien invasion where the fate of humanity rests solely on your shoulders. Take control of an elite delta force soldier codenamed "Nomad", and make use of state of the art technology, including the new Nanosuit to confront an ever-changing enemy in a brutal environment. Use all your wits and skill, because Crysis will take you down a testing road.

Released in 2007, this game wasn't just a mere title, it was a revolution! From the moment I laid eyes on its stunning visuals, I knew Crysis was not going to be just another game that I played. It aspired to greatness and it pushed the boundaries of what was thought possible. But Crysis wasn't just about looks; it had substance too. Its gameplay mechanics were revolutionary, setting a new standard for the first-person shooter genre. The open-ended level design encouraged exploration and creativity, giving me the freedom to tackle challenges in my own unique way. And let's not forget about the story. Crysis wasn't just about shooting aliens; it was about humanity's struggle for survival, about sacrifice and heroism in the face of overwhelming odds. It was a story that resonated with me on a deeply emotional level, leaving me breathless with every twist and turn. But perhaps what I love most about Crysis is its legacy. It didn't just inspire other games; it changed the way we think about gaming as a whole. It showed us that games could be more than just mindless entertainment; they could be art, they could be a reflection of the human spirit.

Sadly, I didn't have the hardware to play Crysis when it first came out but got my chance to play it a few years later. It's visually stunning, and surprisingly good gameplay even if the story is just average.

Okay so one minute your stealthily going about slaying helpless humans in a super suit, the next several super suit humans come at you, and before you know it your surrounded by aliens and the hunter becomes the hunted.
