3. Parkitect

This new creation by Texel Raptor shares the same concept as the RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise. Just like in the well-known series, players can build parks and customize their own rides.

For now, it is still in active development, although an alpha phase was recently released. There are no objectives yet as only a sandbox version is available. The graphics are three dimensional like those of RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, but the layout is similar to RollerCoaster Tycoon 2.

Many hope that Parkitect will bring back the style of the older roller coaster games but provide the modern element, and thus fans anxiously await a full release.

Thanks for the nice list Christina! I really enjoyed playing Empire TV Tycoon and Game Dev Tycoon as well. But hey, it is really hard to choose the favs, when somebody is into the genre! Please let me mention my game, called Computer Tycoon! It is the first game about Computer evolution in which you start your own company back in the 70's. Some say it is the "Steve Jobs Simulator", and indeed although the game is a grand strategy and management hybrid, still you have some RPG like elements as well. :) It is currently under early access, so people still can alter its future by their opinion.
