Good luck avoiding that dragon.

26. Far Cry Primal

Far Cry Primal puts you back into the Stone Age, a time when giant mammoths and sabretooth tigers ruled the Earth. You are the last survivor of your hunting group after a fatal ambush by a sabretooth tiger killed your group.  Learn to craft powerful arsenal, defend from deadly predators and outsmart enemy tribes in the land of Oros.

You take the role of a seasoned hunter named Takkar, the last surviving member of the hunting party. The members of your tribe are reuniting. Unfortunately, a rival tribe finds out about this and launches an attack on your village. After successfully defending your village you set out to kill and bring back the ears of the evil war chief that launched this assault.

Crafting in this game is simple. As you explore the different regions in the game you will find and collect materials such as wood, rocks and reeds. Eventually after collecting enough of these materials the game will give you the ability to craft items such as Spears, Bows or Clubs. You can also craft items that increase your character’s capacity to hold more meat or ammunition. Weapons and upgrades to your character are the two main things you can craft.

Use fierce creatures to your advantage.

This is a great spin off to the Far Cry series. It is the first game set in the Stone Age and even the tribes that inhabit this game speak an inspired Proto-Indo-European language. You can also hunt and tame wildlife to help you in your adventures.

Sneak your way through redwood forests and humid swamps.
