3. Silent Hill: Homecoming

Silent Hill has more monsters than just Pyramid Head, and they are all dangerous.

At this point there is no shortage of Silent Hill games to enjoy. This series features eight full games, two movies, and a slew of smaller spin-off mobile and handheld games to enjoy. I could make a list of memorable monsters and gut wrenching moments for just the Silent Hill series alone.

We all know why we love this series. There is more than enough gore and monsters to go around in this franchise. Silent Hill Homecoming in particular stands out as the worst of the worst in this series. Disturbing monster designs combined with new generation graphics makes for a truly gut wrenching game.

The town of Silent Hill itself serves has a kind of purgatory. People who are trapped in the town usually harbor some form of dark past or secret. The monsters which appear in the town are unique to the person trapped in Silent Hill. You could call them personal demons, and they will hunt you relentlessly.
