4. Grand Theft Auto

The entire Grand Theft Auto series has been based on the fact that you can go anywhere and do anything you want. Do you want to hire a hooker, take her up to the roof of a tall building, have sex with her, and then toss her off the edge? Well, you can do that. This game does not have to be played in an extreme violent fashion, but that is often what it becomes.

The latest installment GTA V caused quite a stir by including a very detailed torture scene as you take on the role of the torturer. You get to electrocute, water board, and pull the teeth out of a poor soul strapped to a chair. On the other hand though, you do let the guy go once you’ve got all the information extracted… so at least that’s nice.
