Games That Drive You Crazy

There are many games, both on console and pc that incite various levels of insanity. For me it's a console game that goes by the name of Mirrors Edge. I'm sure many people will disagree/rant and wave pitch forkes, but for me the game was just too complicated to be enjoyable. The concept was interesting, but honestly playing it was just plain frustrating. The controls were cumbersome and the camera just made me feel a bit ill after a while. Like I said I loved the concept, but the execution left plenty to be desired.

For what it is worth, I agree with your decision of Mirror's Edge, I also found that the controls were a major downfall for this game. Had these guys have taken a page out of Assassin's Creed's book, then maybe this game would have been more successful. Another game, which hit my list for Games that drove me crazy, and is again the PC version, would have to be Just Cause 2. I loved every other part of the game except for 2 aspects. The army and police would zero in on you if you so much as jaywalked in that game, and then it took way too long to hide until the heat was gone, and the second aspect was having to put in the codes (for example to shut down the pipelines) this was very laborious where it could have been better implemented, especially with the rockets during the final big fight.

Having played both the games mentioned above, I have to agree with both. Mirror's Edge had an interesting concept, and I guess that's what initially made me buy it. I didn't end up hating it, but ended up being rather disappointed by the execution of the game. The controls seemed all clunky, and as mentioned above, the camera was a bit odd. Just Cause 2 on the other hand. I loved the game. I loved every aspect of it, again, other than the apparent need of stealth/need of law for every tiny part of the game. I mean, the game's supposed to be open world, free to roam. When the cops zero in on you for crossing the streets "unlawfully" or with no regard to approach traffic, you tend to start getting frustrated. You are entitled to a little bit freedom, yeah?

One game that drove me crazy was GTA San Andreas. Yes, I know, that game was amazing and fun and I should kiss the creator's feet for bestowing such a gem unto gaming. But, no, there was a part in that game that absolutely devastated my experience, you meet a guy named Zero for whom you need to do mandatory missions. Then he makes you use this dinky remote-controlled plane, it went well with the first 3 hits then came the last one, it had janky controls and garbage navigation and I always seemed to run out of fuel right before the last hit or the way home, but the worst part was, I couldn't find another mission to do instead of that one, so I stopped playing the game and eventually forgot about it.

Sometimes, The Sims 4 is super annoying sometimes! The slight glitches and bugs are infuriating when you can't do anything to fix them. Thankfully, people have created some great mods and cheats to combat this. Overall, it's still a great game

I hate the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters.

"So we've spent about twenty years adding new graphics, content, and other bells and whistles to our games. Now we're going to re-release the old games with old graphics and old mechanics that don't hold up well and none of the bonus content. At full price. Oh for those of you who liked the versions with improvements and the bonus content, screw you those are no longer available for purchase in the market."

I get that there's a subset of people who love their nostalgia and I respect that but why couldn't they have just sold the imprpved game with the 8 bit version?

I understand your frustration with Mirrors Edge, as every person has their own preference when it comes to gaming. It's okay to have a different opinion and experience with a particular game. Sometimes, the concept of a game can be captivating, but the execution may not meet our expectations.

In any case, it's always worth exploring different games and finding what works for you. There are plenty of games out there that could be more enjoyable and less frustrating for you. Keep exploring and have fun gaming!

I hate Last of Us Part 2. It's one of those games where the gameplay was very fun but the story makes me so angry everytime I play it purely because the plot feels like a bunch of chimps on typewriters were responsible for it.
