Terraria Best Accessories
Accesorizing is always the key to pulling an outfit off.

Which Are The Best Terraria Accessories?

Terraria is a game that rewards you for experimenting with your equipment and finetuning your item loadout.

The vast majority of this finetuning is done by carefully picking which accessories you’re going to use to compliment your choice of armor and weapons.

With the massive “Journey’s End” update looming on the horizon it’s about time to look into some of the best accessories in Terraria (before the next update adds a plethora of new options).

10. Frostspark Boots

Finely decorated house not included.

Maintaining a high degree of mobility is a key fundamental of Terraria at any stage in the game and the Frostspark Boots are among the best ways to do that. This several-in-one accessory is about as jam packed with features as a Swiss Army Knife. Not only do the Frostspark Boots increase movement speed they also provide the player with flight and unhindered mobility on ice.

Stats:

  • Allows flight.
  • Extra mobility on ice.
  • 8% increase in movement speed.
  • Speed is increased from 15mph to 34mph when running at top speed.

Hot to get Frostspark Boots:

  • First you must combine Hermes Boots, Flurry Boots, or Sailfish Boots with Rocket Boots at a Tinkerer’s Workshop to create Spectre Boots.
  • Then you combine your Spectre Boots with an Anklet of the Wind and an Aglet at a Tinkerer’s Workshop to create Lightning Boots.
  • Finally, after all your hard work you just need to combine your Lightning Boots with an Ice Skates at a Tinkerer’s Workshop to create the Frostspark Boots.

9. Fire Gauntlet

The Fire Gauntlet's somewhat extensive recipe.

Sometimes all you need is to do just a little bit more damage and that is exactly what the Fire Gauntlet is for. Not only does this late game accessory seriously boost your melee damage, it also causes your weapons to both emit light, and inflict the “On Fire!” debuff for added damage over time. It may take a while to craft, but oh is it worth the effort.

Stats:

  • All melee weapons emit light when in use.
  • All melee weapons cause the “On Fire!” debuff.
  • +80% melee knockback.
  • +10% melee damage.
  • +10% melee attack speed.

How to get the Fire Gauntlet:

  • First off, you’re going to have to fight the Wall of Flesh boss to get a Warrior Emblem, Ranger Emblem, Sorcerer Emblem, or Summoner Emblem; the Emblem you get is irrelevant in making the final product.
  • Then you’re going to have to fight each of the three mechanical bosses (The Destroyer, The Twins, and Skeletron Prime) to gain access to the Souls of Might, Sight, and Fright respectively. Combine five of each of these Souls with your Emblem at a Tinkerer’s Workshop to craft the Avenger Emblem.
  • Next, you’re going to want to combine the Feral Claws and Titan Glove accessories at a Tinkerer’s Workshop to create the Power Glove. You will then need to combine this Titan Glove with the Avenger Emblem you made earlier to create a Mechanical Glove.
  • Last but not least you need to combine your Mechanical Glove with a Magma Stone to make the Fire Gauntlet.

8. Vortex Booster

The Vortex Booster in use.

A good pair of wings becomes an inventory staple once you enter “Hardmode” in Terraria and the Vortex Booster are the culmination of that concept. As you progress through Hardmode you can and should upgrade various Wing accessories, with the Vortex Booster being one of the last options you can create. Being only available after defeating Terraria’s final boss, these wings truly make you a master of the air.

  • Horizontal hovering, activatable by pressing “down” and your jump key.
  • 300% faster acceleration when hovering.
  • 2.67 seconds or 106 tiles of flight before cooldown is needed.
  • 2x duration while hovering.
  • Emits light and glows in the dark.

How to get the Vortex Booster:

  • Despite how great they are the Vortex Booster wings are actually quite straightforward to make, all you have to do is beat the final boss of the game.
  • Once you have beaten Moon Lord take the Luminite that he drops and craft it into 10 ingots.
  • Then combine these 10 Luminite Ingots with 14 Vortex Fragments (gathered in the event that precedes Moon Lord spawning) at a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil to create your very own Vortex Booster.

If you’ve ever wanted to feel like a ninja while playing Terraria, the Master Ninja Gear is the item for you. The Gravity Globe within an inventory.

The Gravity Globe is one of the hardest accessories to get in Terraria and rightfully so. With the Gravity Globe in hand you can quite literally reverse how gravity impacts you, causing you to fall upwards. 3. Cell Phone

The many items that make up the Cell Phone.

The Cell Phone is an item that, to quote the game’s own tooltip, “displays everything,” and what an accurate description that is. Combining thirteen separate base items the Cell Phone quite literally combines the functions of every single one of its component parts into the ultimate all-in-one information tool.

  • Finally, after all that work the final step in this long process is to combine your PDA with a Magic Mirror or an Ice Mirror at a Tinkerer’s Workshop to make a Cell Phone the likes of which put Apple and Samsung both to shame.

The Celestial Shell is an accessory that packs in the features like it’s going out of style. Not only does this accessory give you ten buffs that are active at all times, it comes with another seven that are situationally activated. 1. Worm Scarf

Terraria's best accesory.

Yes, the Worm Scarf. Humble as it may be the Worm Scarf is one of the most valuable items for an Expert Mode run of Terraria. It may not be as flashy as the Cell Phone or as involved as the Ankh Shield or Celestial Shell, but it does its one job incredibly well. The Worm Scarf reduces incoming damage, making it quite often the difference between life and death in an Expert Mode run and a valuable safety net in normal play.

Stats:

  • Reduces incoming damage by 17%.

How to get a Worm Scarf:

  • To get this invaluable piece of any Expert Mode run all you have to do is beat the Eater of Worlds boss in a world that has been set to Expert Mode.
