[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Thatcher Loadouts That Are Excellent

Top 5 Best Thatcher Loadouts in R6 Siege
The top five loadouts for playing the best hard breach enabler in Rainbow Six Siege

When Thatcher is present in the attacking team, hard breaching for them would be quite easy. That’s because of the wide range of his EMP Grenades, and he has three of them. Because of their range, it’s very hard to stop them from disabling hard-breach preventing devices, especially Mute’s Signal Jammers and Bandit’s Shockwires. Kaid’s Electroclaws have better chances, but they usually still get disabled unless the Kaid player is really good at “Kaid Tricking''. This is why Thatcher is the most banned attacker in Siege. But even when the attackers do not really need to perform a hard breach, he is a powerful operator and is viable in most situations because of his loadout choices.

5. M590A1 with Reflex B + P226 Mk 25 with Suppressor + Claymore

This loadout setup is for players who are proficient in the use of shotguns, as well as with the use of pistols. That’s because with this loadout, you will definitely have the superiority in close quarters combat, but the M590A1 shotgun’s range is very limited. So, for strafing opponents at medium range, you’re going to have to switch to the P226 Mk 25 handgun. Which is very viable because this handgun has a very stable recoil even without a recoil control providing barrel attachment.

And for this loadout, you’re better off by suppressing the P226 Mk 25 handgun so that you can use it when you’re clearing out roamers or using stealth to get close to your enemies. That’s because with a suppressed handgun, you’ll be able to shoot defender cameras and other gadgets without alerting your enemies. And once you get close to them, you’ll be able to unleash the close-range superiority of the M590A1 shotgun. The claymore as your generic gadget will be really helpful in countering roamers and flankers.

Excels in:

  • Close quarters combat superiority due to the M590A1 shotgun’s heavy damage per pellet
  • Providing Thatcher with the capability to perform soft breaching
  • Thatcher will also have the capability to perform vertical attacks because of the M590A1 shotgun
  • Protection from roamers, flankers, and run outs because of the two claymores in his arsenal
  • Using stealth to sneak up on enemies with the use of the suppressed P226 Mk 25 handgun

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - M590A1 with Reflex B
  • Secondary weapon - P226 Mk 25 with Suppressor
  • Generic gadget - Claymore

4. AR33 with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip + P226 Mk 25 with Suppressor + Claymore

This loadout is for people who prioritize having the most stable sprays while using the AR33 which has a fast rate of fire. The flash hider specializes in lowering the vertical recoil of weapons and what’s neat is that it also hides the weapon’s muzzle flash, therefore reducing the chances of enemies seeing you through that particular visual cue. The vertical grip will further lower down the AR33’s vertical recoil and that will ensure that the user will be able to control this rapid firing assault rifle much better.

The scope 2.0x is one of the most balanced scopes out there and it will provide a high level of zoom without really compromising so much on your side view. That means you will be able to see your enemies really well with it while also not being at a disadvantage when it comes to enemies coming from the side. The P226 Mk 25 being suppressed is something that will give you more versatility, especially when sneaking up on enemies because it will allow you to shoot cameras with less chance of alerting enemies.

Excels in:

  • Excellent recoil control with the AR33 because of the flash hider and vertical grip
  • Less visual cues for enemies to react to because the flash hider will hide the weapon’s muzzle flash
  • High zoom levels because of the scope 2.0x while also not compromising a lot on peripheral view
  • Suppressor on the P226 Mk 25 will allow the user to shoot defender cameras or other gadgets without alerting enemies
  • The two claymores in his arsenal will protect Thatcher and his team from roamers, runouts, and flankers.

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - AR33 with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - P226 Mk 25 with Suppressor
  • Generic gadget - Claymore

3. AR33 with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + P226 Mk 25 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Breach Charge

The AR33 is lower than the L85A2 in the rankings because the latter’s higher damage and bigger magazine capacity for me just gives Thatcher better fighting capabilities. However, it can’t be denied that the AR33 is also a great gun and many players prefer its faster rate of fire, slightly better recoil, and the availability of the scope 2.5x. However, even with the AR33 I still recommend the scope 2.0x over the 2.5x one because it provides better balance between frontal zoom and peripheral view, and its main frame doesn’t take a lot of screen space.

Despite its fast rate of fire, the AR33’s recoil is highly controllable, so it’s great to equip it with a suppressor. Because as long as you have the vertical grip, the AR33’s recoil should be very manageable and you won’t need further recoil control benefits from a barrel attachment. This loadout setup is also great for vertical plays because with the breach charges, you’ll be able to destroy huge portions of the wooden floor above the objective spot. This is great when your emp grenades are needed for destroying reinforced hatches.

Excels in:

  • Strafing enemies without giving away your position because the suppressor will hide the weapon’s directional threat indicator
  • The AR33’s recoil will still be highly manageable because of the vertical grip
  • High zoom levels from the scope 2.0x without compromising so much on peripheral view
  • Great recoil control on the P226 Mk 25 handgun because of the muzzle brake
  • Tight hip fire from the P226 Mk 25 handgun because of the laser
  • Soft breaching and vertical play capabilities because of the breach charges

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - AR33 with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - P226 Mk 25 with Muzzle Brake and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Breach Charge

2. L85A2 with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip + P226 Mk 25 with Suppressor + Claymore

This loadout is for players who value recoil of weapons more than anything, and for the L85A2, even though it’s manageable, you can see from its recoil pattern image that it doesn’t just go on a straight vertical path. That is why for many players, holding down its recoil is more important because that will provide them with the best stability and accuracy when targeting opponents at medium to long range. So, for this loadout setup, you’ll have the flash hider and the vertical grip working hand in hand to greatly lower the weapon’s vertical recoil.

Even though the L85A2 is quite prone to horizontal recoil, its recoil diamonds aren’t that big, so the compensator doesn’t make a lot of difference to this gun. That is why it’s best to concentrate on lowering its vertical recoil. With a much more compressed recoil due to the vertical grip and flash hider, the user will be able to control the gun very well, even its horizontal recoil. And since your primary in this loadout doesn’t have a suppressor, it’s important for your secondary to have it. That way you’ll be able to shoot enemy gadgets without alerting your enemies.

Excels in:

  • Great recoil control from the flash hider and vertical grip working hand in hand
  • Reduction of visual cues that enemies can react to because of the removal of the weapon’s muzzle flash
  • High zoom levels from the scope 2.0x without sacrificing a lot of side view
  • Ability to shoot defender cameras and other gadgets without alerting enemies because of the suppressed handgun
  • Protection from runouts, roamers, and flankers with the use of the claymores

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - L85A2 with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - P226 Mk 25 with Suppressor
  • Generic gadget - Claymore

1. L85A2 with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + P226 Mk 25 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Claymore

Thatcher is one of the best backline supports out there especially after he’s performed his role of enabling a hard breach. He can provide cover fire for his teammates who are pushing through the breach and that means shooting at enemies at medium to long-range. And for those distances, the suppressor is just perfect because it won’t provide enemies a directional threat indicator of where your shots are coming from, and of course, they won’t hear them either. And that would prevent them from immediately counter firing.

The scope 2.0x is perfect for those distances as well, because 2.0x is a really good amount of zoom and will allow you to see your enemies well even at long-range. The best part is, even when you decide to go in and engage enemies at close to medium range, the scope 2.0x will not give you so much of a disadvantage when it comes to side view. The scope 2.0x is one of the most balanced scopes in the game and is perfect for Thatcher’s role. As for the P226 Mk 25 handgun, you will only really use it when your primary needs to reload, so it’s better to equip it with a muzzle brake and laser to make sure it has great firing stability when you do need it.

Excels in:

  • High zoom levels from the scope 2.0x while still having a clear peripheral view
  • Shooting at opponents without giving your positions away because the suppressor will hide the L85A2’s directional threat indicator
  • Removal of the muzzle flash from the suppressor will reduce the visual cues that your enemies could react to when you’re shooting them
  • The vertical grip will keep the L85A2’s recoil manageable
  • Great recoil control on the P226 Mk 25 handgun due to the muzzle brake
  • P226 Mk 25 handgun will have a tight hip fire because of the laser
  • The two claymores will protect you and your teammates from runouts, roamers, and flankers.

  • Primary weapon - L85A2 with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - P226 Mk 25 with Muzzle Brake and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Claymore
