[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Tachanka Loadouts That Are Excellent

Top 5 Best Tachanka Loadouts in R6 Siege
An up-to-date list of the five best loadouts for operator Tachanka in Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 8 Season 4

Tachanka is one of the operators that have gotten so many changes throughout the years. It’s like there’s something new with him every season. Last season, the devs decided to give him access to the scopes 1.5x and 2.0x for his 9x19VSN, which obviously made most players pick that weapon most of the time when playing him.

For this season, the devs have decided to give Tachanka’s DP27 a massive buff, making players think harder when it comes to deciding which primary weapon would give them the best performance. In this article, we’re reexamining the best loadout choices for Tachanka in the current landscape of Siege.

5. 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Compensator, and Vertical Grip + PMM with Suppressor and laser + Proximity Alarm

The 9x19VSN recoil isn’t as hard to control as other guns. However, after the fourth shot, its recoil diamonds become much wider. That means that after the fourth shot, its subsequent shots will be more prone to horizontal and random recoil from all directions. That could make it harder to control its weapon kick. Luckily, the compensator has been buffed just a few seasons ago, and its effect in lowering the horizontal and random recoil from all directions on weapons is much stronger now.

With the compensator on the barrel of Tachanka’s 9x19VSN, there’s a good chance that the user will feel its gunshots to be more stable, especially during long sprays. As for the scope 2.0x, Tachanka is one of the few defenders that can access such a high-powered scope. And with that, he’ll be able to target attackers well even from long-range. The proximity alarm on the other hand goes well with Tachanka’s gameplay as it can tell him where the enemies are pushing from and where to send his fire grenades from his Shumikha Launcher.

Excels in:

  • The compensator on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN’s barrel will greatly lower the weapon’s horizontal and random recoil from all directions, making it easier to control.
  • The vertical grip will maintain a good amount of vertical recoil control on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN submachine gun which is great for longer sprays
  • The scope 2.0x on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN will allow him to exchange fire against attackers even from medium to long range because of its high zoom level
  • The PMM with a suppressor will allow Tachanka to shoot attacker gadgets like claymores or drones silently when he’s rotating or roaming
  • The proximity alarms in Tachanka’s generic gadget slot are great early warning devices and will prevent him or his teammates from being caught off guard by flanking attackers

Build Details:

  • Primary Weapon - 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Compensator, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary Weapon - PMM with Suppressor and laser
  • Generic Gadget - Proximity Alarm

4. 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip + PMM with Suppressor and laser + Barbed Wire

While the compensator does a great job in lowering weapons’ horizontal and random recoil from all directions by reducing the size of their recoil diamonds, the 9x19VSN’s aren’t really that big, and will only start becoming wider after the fourth shot. Therefore, generally speaking, when it comes to having the best recoil control possible on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN, this is the loadout setup to go. That’s because both the flash hider and vertical grip are present on the weapon, and both of them specialize in lowering weapons’ vertical recoil.

With this setup, sprays from the 9x19VSN will feel more compact and easier to control. This will also make the weapon excel even at medium to long-range shooting, especially with the scope 2.0x which is now compatible with the 9x19VSN. The flash hider will also remove the weapon’s muzzle flash, making it a bit harder for enemies to notice where you’re shooting them from. As for the barbed wire as Tachanka’s generic gadget, it’s great for slowing down enemies and disrupting their momentum.

Excels in:

  • The flash hider on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN submachine gun will lower its overall vertical recoil while also hiding its muzzle flash, making it a bit harder for enemies to pinpoint where he’s shooting them from, especially at long range
  • The vertical grip will also add a lot of vertical recoil control on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN, making its gunshots feel more compact and stable, even at long bursts.
  • The scope 2.0x on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN allowing him to exchange fire with attackers effectively even at medium to long range due to its high zoom level
  • The suppressed PMM will allow Tachanka to shoot attacker gadgets like claymores or drones with much less chance of giving away his position
  • The barbed wires are great partners to Tachanka’s Shumika Launcher as they can slow enemies down which will make it harder for them to escape the effects of Tachanka’s fire grenades

Build Details:

  • Primary Weapon - 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary Weapon - PMM with Suppressor and laser
  • Generic Gadget - Barbed Wire

3. 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip + Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider + Barbed Wire

This setup on the 9x19VSN will increase its firepower because the extended barrel attachment now adds more damage to weapons on top of its previous attribute of lowering weapons’ range damage drop-off. So with this setup on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN, Tachanka will be dealing high damage regardless of the range. That’s a great perk to have especially with the scope 2.0x on the weapon because it’s the most balanced scope in the game. It provides a high level of zoom while not being so high that it sacrifices too much peripheral view.

Normally, I recommend partnering non-suppressed primary weapons with a suppressed secondary weapon, that way, the user will have a tool for silently shooting enemy gadgets. However, Tachanka doesn’t really need much stealth benefits. He would rarely roam, and most of the time, when he needs to leave the objective spot, it’ll only be for rotating. That means that the best secondary weapon for Tachanka is the bearing 9 machine pistol which is basically like a mini-submachine gun.

Excels in:

  • Inflicting more damage from Tachanka’s 9x19VSN because the extended barrel will increase its damage and greatly reduce its range damage drop-off
  • The vertical grip will help Tachanka maintain a good amount of vertical recoil control on the 9x19VSN which is important because the extended barrel doesn’t provide additional recoil control
  • Tachanka being able to see his targets well because of the high zoom level from the scope 2.0x which will also not put the user at a disadvantage at close range
  • The bearing 9 machine pistol is a great alternative weapon for Tachanka when his primary needs to be reloaded because the bearing 9 has tremendous rate of fire and damage
  • The two barbed wires in Tachanka’s arsenal will be great for slowing enemies down and they’re also great early warning devices as they make a lot of noise when being destroyed

Build Details:

  • Primary Weapon - 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary Weapon - Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider
  • Generic Gadget - Barbed Wire

2. 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider + Deployable Shield

Even though Tachanka isn’t really a stealthy operator and would mostly have to anchor the objective spot, it would still be great for him to take advantage of the stealth benefits from the suppressor. That’s because with a suppressor on the 9x19VSN’s barrel, its shots won’t create a directional threat indicator and muzzle flash. Its gunshots will also be much harder to hear. So with the 9x19VSN in this setup, it could take a while for enemies to realize where Tachanka is shooting them from.

Because of that, Tachanka is basically decreasing their effectiveness when it comes to countering and protecting themselves, especially at medium to long range. That works really well with the scope 2.0x which will allow Tachanka to have great accuracy even at medium to long range due to its high zoom level. The bearing 9 on the other hand will be a great alternative weapon for Tachanka when it comes to finishing off his enemies when the 9x19VSN needs to be reloaded in the middle of combat.

Excels in:

  • Shooting enemies with Tachanka’s 9x19VSN without them immediately knowing where the shots are coming from because of the suppressor as the weapon’s barrel attachment
  • Maintaining a good amount of recoil control on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN with the use of the vertical grip attachment which specializes in lowering weapons’ overall vertical recoil
  • The scope 2.0x on Tachanka’s 9x19VSN allows him to excel at medium to long-range shooting due to its high zoom level which is also a great partner to the suppressor
  • Having a great alternative weapon in the bearing 9 which has a very fast rate of fire and is basically a mini submachine gun
  • Providing Tachanka and his teammates an extra cover with the deployable shield as Tachanka’s generic gadget

Build Details:

  • Primary Weapon - 9x19VSN with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary Weapon - Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider
  • Generic Gadget - Deployable Shield

1. DP27 with Red Dot A + Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider + Deployable Shield

The DP27 LMG which is unique to Tachanka is back as his best primary weapon even though his 9x19VSN can now be equipped with high-powered scopes. That’s because the devs have recently given its damage a huge buff. So with the DP27 LMG, Tachanka will be able to take down his opponents faster, especially at close to medium range. Another thing about the DP27 that’s great is that its destruction rate per shot is so high, so it’s a great utility for reworking the map to the defending team’s advantage.

The downside of using the DP27 is that it’s not compatible with any high-powered scopes and its reload time is quite long. But at least with the latter, it can be offset by the bearing 9 machine pistol, because when the DP27 needs to be reloaded in the middle of combat, the user can just easily switch to the bearing 9 and they’d still have a fully automatic weapon to engage enemies with. The red dot A is the best 1.0x sight for both the DP27 and the bearing 9 because it provides pinpoint accuracy due to its simple center dot reticle.

Excels in:

  • The DP27 having recently received a massive buff on its damage makes it capable of taking down enemies at close to medium range with just a few shots
  • Tachanka having a great utility for reworking the map to the defending team’s advantage with the heavy destruction rate per shot from the DP27 light machine gun
  • The red dot A 1.0x sight will provide Tachanka with good accuracy on both the DP27 and bearing 9 because of its simple center dot reticle that doesn’t obstruct the user’s view of the opponent’s body parts
  • With the bearing 9 machine pistol as Tachanka’s secondary weapon, it would be like he has a mini submachine gun to switch to when his primary needs to be reloaded in the middle of combat
  • Being able to hold an angle effectively for a long period of time because of the deployable shield as Tachanka’s generic gadget, especially when it’s supported by anti-projectile defender gadgets

Build Details:

  • Primary Weapon - DP27 with Red Dot A
  • Secondary Weapon - Bearing 9 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider
  • Generic Gadget - Deployable Shield
