[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Iana Loadouts That Are Excellent

Top 5 Best Iana Loadouts in R6 Siege
An up-to-date list of the five best loadouts for operator Iana in Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 8 Season 4

Iana, for many years now, has been the most picked attacker in the game. Obviously, that’s because of her special gadget, the Gemini Replicator, which allows her to project a holographic copy of herself that can act as a drone and can also replicate all her movements except for attacking and rappelling.

And because she had frag grenades which could still be “cooked” at that time, she was borderline OP, as she can just scout ahead, gather intel on an enemy’s position, and pop a grenade towards them. With this new season, however, the devs have removed her frag grenades but added a very useful utility to her loadout choices.

5. ARX200 with Red Dot A, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + MK1 9mm with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Smoke Grenade

I put the loadout setup with the ARX200 assault rifle as Iana’s primary weapon at the last place, but don’t make the mistake of thinking that it’s not a viable weapon for her. Certainly, for a lot of players, simply having the highest damage possible is the best way to go, and when inflicting high damage per shot is what the player is looking for, this loadout setup is definitely something to consider. That’s because the ARX200 deals heavy stopping power per shot.

The only thing is that the ARX200 isn’t compatible with any high-powered scope, has a small magazine capacity, and its rate of fire is slower than the alternative which is the G36C. So if you’re okay with those shortcomings in exchange for being able to inflict higher damage per shot, definitely do try this loadout setup. For this, I put the Mk1 9mm handgun as Iana’s secondary weapon because as mentioned before, the ARX200 has a small magazine size, so chances are, Iana would be needing a backup weapon for when it needs to be reloaded in the middle of a gunfight.

Excels in:

  • Inflicting high damage to enemies due to the heavy stopping power from the ARX200 assault rifle which is great for sudden enemy encounters at close range
  • The stock recoil of the weapon is pretty manageable so the user can afford to equip it with a suppressor which will provide a lot of stealth benefits rather than a recoil control providing barrel attachment
  • Even though the recoil of the ARX200 is manageable, it still needs at least one attachment that adds recoil control, and for this setup, that would be the vertical grip attachment
  • Since the user will be able to silently shoot defender gadgets with the suppressed ARX200, they can equip a muzzle brake to the MK1 9mm handgun instead for a much better recoil
  • Iana being able to provide a lot of cover for the attacking team’s push with the use of the two smoke grenades in her secondary gadget slot

Build Details:

  • Primary Weapon - ARX200 with Red Dot A, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary Weapon - MK1 9mm with Muzzle Brake and Laser
  • Generic Gadget - Smoke Grenade

4. G36C with Scope 1.5x, Compensator, and Vertical Grip + Gonne-6 + Smoke Grenade

Even though the ARX200 is definitely still a viable primary weapon for Iana, especially depending on the situation or map, in most situations, I would recommend the G36C assault rifle. That’s because it has better recoil, better magazine capacity, and it can even be equipped with a scope 1.5x. The scope 1.5x is perfect for the distance the Iana usually engages her enemies in which is close to medium range due to her role as an intel gatherer and secondary-entry.

And one of the best barrel attachments to use for the G36C is the compensator, especially now that it’s been buffed and its effect in lowering the weapon's horizontal and vertical recoil is much better. With the vertical grip lowering the G36C’s vertical recoil and the compensator reducing its horizontal and random recoil from all directions, the user will have a stable shooting experience with this loadout setup, especially when it comes to suppressive firing.

Excels in:

  • The horizontal and random recoil from all directions on Iana’s G36C assault rifle will be lessened by a great deal because of the compensator attachment on its barrel
  • Iana having a good control on the G36C’s vertical recoil because of the presence of the vertical grip attachment which greatly lowers the overall vertical recoil of weapons
  • The scope 1.5x on Iana’s G36C will provide her with a good amount of zoom that’ll allow her to see her targets well while also not sacrificing a lot of peripheral view
  • The gonne-6 as Iana’s secondary weapon will allow her to open an unreinforced hatch, bring down a barricaded door, or destroy a pesky bulletproof defender gadget
  • The smoke grenade will provide a lot of cover for Iana and her teammates when it comes to pushing as well as a defuser plant attempt

Build Details:

  • Primary Weapon - G36C with Scope 1.5x, Compensator, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary Weapon - Gonne-6
  • Generic Gadget - Smoke Grenade

3. G36C with Scope 1.5x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip + Gonne-6 + Stun Grenade

As mentioned before, the primary reason why some players would go for the ARX200 as Iana’s primary weapon over the G36C is its superior damage. However, if it's high damage that you’re looking for while still being able to take advantage of the G36C’s higher rate of fire, lower recoil, better magazine capacity, and compatibility with the scope 1.5x, this is the loadout for you. That’s because the extended barrel on the G36C will increase its firepower and lower its range damage drop-off.

Now, even with the extended barrel on the G36C, the ARX200 will still have superior damage, but the gap will be much lower. The G36C with an extended barrel will have 42 damage, while the ARX200 has 47, so choose wisely. And while the extended barrel is great for increasing the firepower of weapons, it doesn’t add any recoil control benefits, but for that, this setup will have the vertical grip attachment which will lower the G36C’s overall vertical recoil.

Excels in:

  • The G36C having better firepower because of the extended barrel attachment which lowers the range damage drop-off of weapons and increases their damage
  • Maintaining a good amount of recoil control on Iana’s G36C assault rifle with the use of the vertical grip attachment which decreases its overall vertical weapon kick
  • Having a good amount of zoom when aiming-down-sights on Iana’s G36C assault rifle because of the scope 1.5x which also allows the player to keep a healthy amount of side view
  • The gonne-6 hand cannon will allow Iana to neutralize one troublesome bulletproof defender gadget that can impede the attacking team’s push
  • The stun grenades are great for Iana when she and her teammate are pushing as there’s a high chance of enemies getting blinded or deafened by them

Build Details:

  • Primary Weapon - G36C with Scope 1.5x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary Weapon - Gonne-6
  • Generic Gadget - Stun Grenade

2. G36C with Scope 1.5x, Flash Hider, and Angled Grip + Gonne-6 + Stun Grenade

I could see this loadout setup being the number one for many Iana players depending on the playstyle. Certainly, this setup for Iana’s G36C assault rifle is best for highly aggressive playstyles. That’s because the angled grip on the G36C will allow Iana to go into aim-down-sights stance quicker than normal and of course, that’s a great perk for sudden enemy engagements which happens a lot when your playstyle is aggressive. It’s also balanced out by the flash hider on the G36C’s barrel.

That’s because despite the G36C having a very manageable stock recoil, you’d need at least one recoil control providing attachment to effectively handle its weapon kick. For this loadout setup, that would be the flash hider which would greatly lower the weapon’s overall vertical recoil. The gonne-6 hand cannon as Iana’s secondary weapon is also great for rushing or aggressive plays as it can bring down a barricaded door or a Castle Armor Panel for a quick entry.

Excels in:

  • Fast and aggressive plays, because the angled grip will allow Iana to go into aim-down-sights stance fast, which is great for quick enemy engagements and rushing
  • The flash hider barrel attachment allowing Iana to have good vertical recoil control on the G36C which is important because the angled grip doesn’t provide additional recoil control
  • The scope 1.5x is perfect for fast and aggressive plays because it’ll allow Iana to see her enemies well at close to medium range while keeping a healthy amount of peripheral view
  • The gonne-6 hand cannon is also great for aggressive plays because it can quickly bring down a barricaded door or Castle Armor Panel for Iana and her team to go through
  • The stun grenades are great for blinding and deafening enemies, especially those hiding behind cover, which also goes so well with the fast and aggressive nature of this setup

Build Details:

  • Primary Weapon - G36C with Scope 1.5x, Flash Hider, and Angled Grip
  • Secondary Weapon - Gonne-6
  • Generic Gadget - Stun Grenade

1. G36C with Scope 1.5x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + Gonne-6 + Stun Grenade

This setup would yield the best results for Iana in most cases. It’s very balanced and would be good for a methodical approach, and that’s good for Siege because it’s a tactical game. The G36C in this setup will have a stable recoil because the vertical grip will greatly reduce its overall vertical recoil. On the other hand, the suppressor on the G36C’s barrel will remove its shots’ directional threat indicator and muzzle flash. It’ll also dampen the sound of its gunshots.

Because of those perks, there could be some delay in the enemies’ reaction time when you’re shooting them. That’s because they won’t immediately know where your shots are coming from, especially at medium range and further. The gonne-6 is one of the best utilities in the game even though it can only be fired once. Iana can use it to create an entry point by destroying an unreinforced hatch or barricaded door, and she can also use it for disabling one bulletproof defender gadget that can give the attacking team a lot of trouble.

Excels in:

  • The suppressed G36C’s shots will not create a directional threat indicator, muzzle flash, and it’ll have silenced gunshots, so it’ll be harder for enemies to know here Iana is shooting from
  • The vertical grip will be a big help for Iana in controlling the weapon kick of the G36C assault rifle especially because the suppressor on its barrel won’t add any recoil control benefits
  • The scope 1.5x will provide Iana with a good balance between higher zoom level and peripheral view. Its 1.5x zoom is perfect for close to medium range shooting while also not eating up a lot of side view
  • Iana having a great utility in the gonne-6 which she can use in a lot of ways. It can be used for a quick entry, or for neutralizing a bulletproof enemy gadget that could give attackers a lot of problems
  • The three stun grenades as Iana’s generic gadget would be great for pushing as they can blind or deafen enemies, and they can also make enemies run away from their entrenched positions

Build Details:

  • Primary Weapon - G36C with Scope 1.5x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary Weapon - Gonne-6
  • Generic Gadget - Stun Grenade
