New World has lots of different weapons and combination choices. Thus, it’s hard to choose the best ones but here are some suggestions. These are from my point of view as I would choose these 10 for me and my party members. None of these Weapons are for beginners, it's more suitable for players later in the game.

 

1. Olympian.

Epic - Named Spear.

The Olympian forged with the body of the god. This spear is also infused with the willpower of a demon, and then drenched in the luck of a damned soul. Its mighty thrust will leave nothing to chance, you will obliterate your enemy.

• 70 Base Damage.
• 9.0% Critical Hit Chance.
• 1.30 Critical Hit Damage Multiplier.
• 48.0 Block Stamina Damage.

• 23% Block Stability.
• 229 Thrust Damage. 
• Bind On Pickup.
• Named Item.
• Tier V.
• Scales With: DEX 90%, STR 65%.
• 6.0 Weight.
• 3000 Durability.

Weapon Perks

• +38 Dexterity.
• Fortifying Perforate: With the perforate hit you gain a stack of protection. This will increase your armor by 25% for 6s.
• Empty Socket: This socket is used to attach a gem giving the weapon added effects.
• Refreshing Move: Light attacks and Heavy attacks lessen active cooldowns by 2.5% (0.2s cooldown).
• With a gear score of [600-625] or [675-700] you receive random perks.

Why the Olympian, what makes it a great weapon?

Olympian is a spear like none other. It can be used for both PvE and PvP gameplay. The Olympian’s reach is expansive as is found with most spears. However, if in the right hands it's one of the deadliest weapons available within the Aeternum World. 

What Olympian Excel at?

Extra Armor. 

• Olympian can give you an armor boost for a short amount of time if used correctly. 

Rapid Cooldown capability. 

• Most spears within the game already have a reasonable attack cooldown. Yet, the Olympian has an advanced cooldown thanks to the Refreshing Move perk.

How to Obtain the Olympian?
Artemis Boon Drop

Obtaining this weapon may not be the easiest but it can be done with endurance and commitment. It is randomly dropped by any of the creatures within the game as long as you have the boons active. To get the boons activated, you are required to consume one of the following potions:

• Weak Boon of Artemis Potion - Tier I
• Common Boon of Artemis Potion - Tier I
• Common Boon of Artemis Potion - Tier II
• Strong Boon of Artemis Potion - Tier II
• Strong Boon of Artemis Potion - Tier III
• Powerful Boon of Artemis Potion - Tier III
• Powerful Boon of Artemis Potion - Tier IV
• Infused Boon of Artemis Potion - Tier V

 

2. Primal Greataxe of the Soldier.

Epic GreatAxe.

The Greataxe can be foraged from a dreadful beast, deep In the depths of a dreadful Dungeon. Tread lightly my friend as these beasts are hungry for new blood.

Weapon Perks

• +38 Strength.
• Keenly Empowered: You can obtain a 10% entitlement for 5s on a critical hit (10s cooldown).
• Empty Socket: This socket can be filled with a variety of gems that provide different effects depending on the gem used.
• Insatiable Gravity Well: Restore 80% health of the destruction delivered by Gravity Well (Limit 1 target). On a hit, it emits another 4m radius rupture to your immediate surroundings that delivers 50% weapon damage.
• With a Gear score of [600-625] or [675-700] you also receive a random perk.

Why is Primal Greataxe of the Soldier, a great weapon?

The Primal Greataxe of the Soldier provides the slayer of beasts with immense power drawn from within the weapon. Even though this weapon may be hard to wield, it is a must-have for delivering a true impact in the world.

What Primal Greataxe Of the Soldier Excel at?

More Damage. 

• Thanks to Keenly Empowered you can do more damage. Please note that this is an amazing thing but be careful not to cap your empowerment. 

Restore Health. 

• Thanks to Insatiable Gravity Well you can restore 80% health from the destruction Gravity Well causes. 

Extra Damage. 

• 50% extra weapon damage, thanks to Insatiable Gravity Well. That is if the perk is used right. 

How to Obtain the Primal Greataxe of the Soldier?

It can be obtained from the Savage Divide Expedition. Seek the chest that drops for exciting loot. The chest's name is Savage Divide Mutator Chest, it's a legendary grade chest. Please note that this chest drops these Items at random so it might be a bit of a grind to obtain. The Chest can be dropped by these enemies in the Expedition:

• Boar - Level 2-17 - Family Beast - Zone Savage Divide - Requirements: Mutation Lv.3 Monster Level 1-65.
• Volatile Explosives - Level 1-10  - Zone Savage Divide - Requirements: Mutation Lv.3 Monster Level 1-65.
• Silverback Smasher - Level 63-67 - Family Beast - Zone Savage Divide - Requirements: Mutation Lv.3 Monster Level 1-65.
• Elysian Firefly - Level 1-70 - Family Beast - Zone Savage Divide - Requirements: Mutation Lv.3 Monster Level 1-65.

 

3. Nightveil Life Staff of the Sage.

Legendary Life Staff.

Dear friend, do not fret, you will not die before you wake... Just rest assured in knowing that I will be there to pick you up from the gates of death should you end up dead.

• Blessed offers an amazing healing power of +11% outgoing.
• Empty Gem Socket: Attach any gem to this slot and feel its added effect.
• Refreshing Move: Active cooldowns are reduced for both Light and Heavy attacks by 2.3% (0.2s cooldown).
• 100% Random Perk.

Why is Nightveil Life Staff of the Sage, a great Weapon?

Nightveil Life Staff of the Sage is a support weapon to save the lives of your companions. Giving life is what Nightveil was crafted for. You can now bring your companion back from the verge of death with every spell you cast.

What Nightveil Life Staff of the Sage Excels at?

Healing Effect Increased.

• Saving the lives of companions is what the life staff is mainly used for. Thanks to Blessed Perk you have an extra +11% healing effect.

Faster Cooldown

• Refreshing Move Perk helps by reducing cooldowns foe heavy and light attacks.

How to Obtain the Nightveil Life Staff of the Sage?

As far as I know, the only way to obtain the Nightveil Life staff is through a chest dropped by the creatures that you slay in the Nightveil Hollows event. It can be dropped, or its schematics can be dropped. You will never know if you could get your hands on one of these unless you play the event.

 

4. Agar’s Least.

Epic - Named Sword.

Be the first to be chosen by this sword, and feel its familiarity in hand could be seen as a sign of an anguished man. Do not be disparaged, this weapon is one of elite dependence.

• Empowering Leaping Strike: The attack dealt by the Leaping Strike’s Cowardly Punishment can slow your targets with damage of + 33% damage.
• Empty Gem Socket: Attaching any gem will add a variety of effects.
• Mortal Lifesteal: +10% Health on kill (1s cooldown).
• Random Perk if Gear Score is [600-625] or [675-700].

Why is Agar’s Least, a Great Weapon?

With its swift moves, it can cut any foe down. But when paired with a shield this weapon is sure to cause havoc.

What Agar’s Least Excels at?

Extra Damage and Effect.

• With the ability Leaping Strike, can cause slow and more damage thanks to Empowering Leaping Strike.

Take a Little Life.

• Thanks to the perk Mortal Lifesteal you can gain back 10% health, with the death of your enemy.

Artemis Boon Drop

To obtain this weapon you will need commitment. It may not be a walk in the park, but know this, it can be done. Even though it is dropped at random by any of the creatures within the game you will be required to have the boons active. To activate boons, you will need to consume one of the following potions:

• With the Keenly Empowered perk, you can do more damage. Please be careful not to cap your empowerment. 

Health from Damage. 

• The perk Leeching Path of Destiny, can give a bit of health by the damage Path of Destiny causes. 

How to Obtain the Primal Warhammer of the Ranger?

Hanter’s Claw is one of the most exhilarating bows in the game. With each shot, you can break your enemy's armor. With a pull of the string, you can end a life.

• All thanks to the perk Penetrating Rapid Shot, ability Rapid Shot causes 35% armor Penetration. 

Headshot. 

• Vorpal adds 10% headshot damage.

How to Obtain the Hunter’s Claw?

Obtaining this master weapon is surely not going to be a simple task. But it can be done as long as you have endurance and commitment. Stand tall and step up to the line. Place your feet only your shoulder width apart before being ready. Now have the first line kneel before the second row to be ready. Without hesitation, you can now execute your enemies and bring them down to their knees.

Firing Line of the Ranger has seen lots of battles and has taken many lives. With its powerful range of attacks, no enemy can escape your line of sight.

What Firing Line of the Ranger Excels at?

Shorter Cooldown. 

• The ability Power Shot has a shorter cooldown thanks to the perk Refreshing Power Shot. 

Take a Little Life. 

• With the perk Mortal Lifesteal you can recover 10% health back, with the death of your enemy. 

How to obtain the Hunter’s Claw?

If you are filled with commitment and endurance, then obtaining this weapon may be within your reach. Friends, keep in mind that it is randomly dropped by the creatures within the game. However, if you do not have the boons active, you will not get a chance of obtaining it. To get the boons activated, you are required to consume one of the following potions:

Using the void to power its core, this gauntlet will drain the essence of your enemies and use the power with each strike. See the life drain from your foes as you attack.

• Lifestealing: Heal for 7.1% of the damage you deal (Does not trigger off persistent damage or DoT effects).
• 100% Random Perk.

Why is Lifetaker, a Great Weapon?

It’s a great weapon that can tap into the fade and bring forth great power from the other side. Strick with a mighty force and see what comes.

What Lifetaker Excel at?

Added Damage. 

• Your ranged attacks will inflict Disintegrate for a short amount of time this applies to both this weapon and the weapon you paired it with. 

Chance at Critical Damage. 

• Thanks to Keen you stand a chance to cause +7% critical damage. 

Taking Life. 

• With the perk Lifestealing, you heal 7.1% of the damage you deal to your foes. 

How to Obtain Lifetaker?

It can be dropped by this Enemy in the world and this enemy can be found on the Isle of Zurvan. Also, Note that you will require the DLC for this enemy to spawn.

• Pugnacious Purutu - Level 70 - Family Beast - Requirements: Lv. 62+, Content Level 62+.

 

9. Inferno.

Artifact Fire Staff.

Using this staff allows you to harness a fury filled and fueled by flames. You have the power to conjure up infernos which are sure to engulf any enemies in roaring flames.

• 62 Base Damage.
• 10.0% Critical Hit Chance.

• Bind On Pickup.
• Tier V.
• Scales With: INT 100%.
• 7.0 Weight.

• Inner Power: If higher this weapon scales with Strength.
• Hellfire’s Fury: +20% damage when you hit a target within 8m.
• Empowering Incinerate: Incinerate deals +40% damage to targets with Burn.
• Vicious: +7% critical damage.
• 100% Random Perk.

Why is Inferno, a Great Weapon?

With its powerful blaze, you can set alight your foes. As far as I know, it's the best fire staff available.

What Inferno Excelsat?

Damage.

• With Hellfire’s Fury, you can cause 20% more damage when you hit a target within an 8m radius. 

Burn effect.

• Empowering Incerate deals 40% extra damage to enemies with burn active.

Chance at Critical Damage. 

• Thanks to Vicious you stand a chance to cause an extra 7% critical damage. 

How to Obtain Inferno?

It can be dropped by this Enemy only. He can be found in the Empyrean Forge Expedition :

• Commander Marius - Level 62 - Family Human - Requirements: Mutation Lv.1+, Lv. 62+, Monster Level 62+.

 

10. Primal Hatchet of the Soldier.

Epic Hatchet.

This unique weapon is scavenged from a monster beast. Lure your enemies to their death, but know it may not always be quick.

Weapon Stats

Gear Score  700

• 62 Base Damage.
• 8.0% Critical Hit Chance.
• 1.40 Critical Damage Multiplier.
• 30.0 Block Stamina Damage.
• 42.0 Stagger Damage.

• 206 Slash Damage.
• Bind On Pickup.
• Tier V.
• Scales With: STR 90%, DEX 65%.
• 4.0 Weight.
• 3000 Durability.

Weapon Perks

• +38 Strength.
• Keenly Empowered: Gain 10% Empower for 5s on a critical hit (10s cooldown).
• Empty Socket: Attach a gem to add its effect.
• Keen Berserk: +50% critical chance and +25% more damage while below 50% Health and while Berserk is active.
• Random Perk if Gear Score is [600-625] or [675-700].

Why is Primal Hatchet of the Soldier, a Great Weapon?

It’s a great weapon to draw your adversaries away from any friends and lead them to sure death. Quick and deadly, this weapon is a must-have for any Tank even though it can be used by any build.

What Primal Hatchet of the Soldier Excelsat?

Damage.

• Thanks to Keenly Empowered, you can gain Empowered for a short time causing more damage. Be careful not to cap your Empowered, if capped will have the opposite effect.

Extra Damage. 

• With Keen Berserk perk, you stand a chance to cause 50% critical damage. If your life is below half you cause an extra 25% damage.
