[Top 10] Minecraft Village Seeds That Are Fun! (2022 Edition)

It’s always fun to discover a village when you’re exploring a new Minecraft world. These locations are great for looting both treasure and resources, allowing for easy access to shelter and beds and trading, all while providing some welcome vibrance and variety to your game. It’s especially exciting to find a village right at the start of a game! An event like that can really give you a leg up on your survival. Here are ten seeds, some for Java and some for Bedrock, that add some life and advantages to a new game by spawning you right next to a village.

10. 3831863122777983 - Tundra Village Seed

Check out the seed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_lnTFDJLx0

Tundra villages are one of my favorite kinds of villages due to the obvious Inuit inspirations for the architecture and manner of dress, so it’s very cool to spawn directly next to a tundra village built on a frozen river.

9. 1051939900539129555 - Oasis Seed

In the middle of the large village you spawn next to is a ruined portal, complete with a chest and two gold blocks. The village is surrounded by a vast desert containing a desert temple, another great place to go treasure hunting!

8. 79426653586647102 - Neighboring Island Village Seed

Check out the seed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_lnTFDJLx0

This seed spawns you on a small collection of islands. Nearby is an island village… if you could even call it that. There are only two buildings, which opens the door to some intriguing narrative explanations, making this seed great for a remote playthrough with interesting storytelling opportunities. There’s also an ocean monument next to a sunken ruined portal not far off.

7. 1928170724601497379 - Mesa Mansion Seed

Check out the seed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGpukISJZz4

As always, finding a woodland mansion can often take a lot of time and effort, so seeds that feature a mansion at spawn are a must-have. This one is special, though, in that, despite the unlikelihood of this event, the mansion spawns right next to a mesa biome. This seed might not offer every player as many advantages as other seeds might, but it sure is one of a kind!

6. 10868737540544383 - Desert Temple Seed

Check out the seed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_lnTFDJLx0

A desert temple is not only exciting in its mystery, but handy for its loot, so coming across one, guarded by a small village that provides its own set of resources, right at the start of the game sure is thrilling. Also, fascinatingly, this temple is entirely intact, not submerged in the sand at all, which isn’t something you often see.

5. -5635066243567224933 - Skeleton Spawner Seed

Check out the seed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G456YbgivIo

This seed is a solid place to start a new game, especially if you’re somewhat new to Minecraft. There’s a well-stocked plains village near spawn, as is a given for being on this list, and C4lico’s video on this seed offers some really specific and clear instructions on how to reach iron, diamonds, and a skeleton spawner in no time.

4. 29213903446127296 - Jungle Temple Seed

Check out the seed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_lnTFDJLx0

Finding a jungle village is a pretty rare experience, as jungles are such dense biomes that it’s often hard to squeeze a building in between all those massive trees, vines, and the thick underbrush blanketing the forest floor, so spawning in next to one is quite a feat. Nearby is a jungle temple. Avoid the traps to collect the loot!

3. 387579004540251912 - Ruined Portal Mansion Seed

Yet another woodland mansion seed, this one is unique - there’s a village clustered up next to the mansion, and the ruined portal is so close to the walls of the mansion that it’s eating away at the wood and stone, leaving a gaping hole in the architecture. Obviously, this is a great seed for early game loot, but also, it’s just a pretty cool sight to see!

2. -679532036 - Underwater Library Seed

These last two seeds have, to my knowledge, only been tested on Bedrock edition, but they’re so cool that I had to include them, even though I regularly talk about Java. This seed spawns you in a village on the coast, and if you dive into the water, you’ll find a large stone brick building hiding at the bottom of the ocean. Dig inside, and you’ll wind up in a stronghold library.

1. -1607164619 - Stronghold Ravine Seed

Check out the seed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzlrcdOIJNw

Strongholds are already difficult to find - not only is there time and travel required, but farming endermen for their pearls can be really exhausting. This seed takes care of that for you by spawning you in a village next to a massive ravine… at the bottom of which are the winding stone brick halls of a stronghold. The end portal already has four ender eyes in it, so you only have to get your hands on another five, and you’re set to take on the dragon.

I was already quite a fan of villages, I enjoy discovering them on adventures to find specific resources and the villagers amuse me, with their mannerisms and silly noises, but these seeds increase my passion for them all the more, making me curious about what is possible for the conditions in which a village will spawn. I hope you liked my picks! We’ll see you around. Happy gaming!
