9. Commando Garen

Commando Garen Skin Spotlight

Commando Garen is one of the Demacian commando skin-line skins. The skin adds nothing to the champion except a dress change which isn’t even very commando like to be very honest. The skin does cost very less so we can’t complain.

8. Rugged Garen

Rugged Garen Skin Spotlight

Rugged Garen gives Garen a slightly different model and a different sword. It adds no animation changes or sound effects to the champion. It is a very old skin but the price of the skin is not justified. This should have been a 520 RP skin.

7. Dreadknight Garen

Dreadknight Garen Skin Spotlight

This is the most unfortunate skin for Garen because of the time it was released. This skin is based on Deathknights from World of Warcraft. It had so much potential to be a legendary skin but back then, skins were not as good as what they are now. The skin adds nothing except a mere dress change to the champion. Riot does not rework its skins sadly so we can’t ever expect it to live up to the standards of the latest skins. The price of this skin should not have been more than 520 RP.

6. Rogue Admiral Garen

Rogue Admiral Garen Skin Spotlight

Rogue Admiral Garen features him as a part of the Bilgewater Mercenary team. This skin does look cool, making Garen look like a pirate, but does not add any animations or sound effects. We do like the price of the skin which is justified.

5. Steel Legion Garen

Steel Legion Garen Skin Spotlight

Steel Legion Garen turns him into a heavily armoured fighter. The skin just makes Garen look very strong and beefy. It gives a thunder sound effect to his abilities, a new model and sword, and new animations. We just wish the E also had a thunder sound to it.

The skin needs a rework. Being an old skin, it cannot match the newer skins.

4. Demacia Vice Garen

Demacia Vice Garen Skin Spotlight

Demacia Vice Garen turns Garen into a chill confident detective wielding a katana. The skin comes with intro music once you enter the Summoner’s Rift. The colours of the skin and the ability animations are very nice. All in all, it is a very lively and colourful skin. The recall animation is also very likeable.

3. Battle Academia Garen

Battle Academia Garen Skin Spotlight

Battle Academia Garen is one of the Battle Academia themed skins. It gives Garen nice colours and chromas. The recall animation like most BA skins is extremely nice. Garen has new yellow and maroon armour and sword and his animations have a nice yellow texture to them.

2. Mecha Kingdoms Garen

Mecha Kingdoms Garen Skin Spotlight

Mecha Kingdoms Garen gives a “Mecha” touch to Garen’s armour and abilities which makes him look super cool. His Q animation makes him float through the air and the recall animation also sends him flying off to his base. His W gives a flashy texture to his shoulder pads which are big on this skin.

Overall, Garen looks like a buffed-up futuristic soldier. This skin might be considered a better version of Steel Legion Garen.

Mecha Kingdoms Garen also has a prestige edition that you can get for 100 prestige tokens. It adds a golden touch to the skin.

1. God-King Garen

God-King Garen Skin Spotlight

God-King Garen is Garen’s only legendary skin. It is based on the concept of Garen as the final descendant of a primordial race of divinities. It gives Garen a companion lion which appears in some of his abilities, emotes and recall animation. As all legendary skins, it completely overhauls the champion. Our favourite is the E animation in which Garen splits his blade into 2 while spinning just like King Varian from World of Warcraft. It is the best skin for Garen made so far and is definitely worth the buck.
