Genshin Impact has a growing variety for you to equip your favorite characters. Here we’re going to talk about the Top 5 Best swords in the current game and how to get them. 5. The Sacrificial Sword

A sword meant to spam your Elemental abilities.

The Sacrificial Sword is a weapon focused on support characters, and those can be just as valuable as a DPS. Because we’re talking about a sword meant for support, we can’t expect it to have just as much base attack as any other mentioned before.
Still, it has high Energy Recharge as a sub-stat and its passive effect, it’s what makes it worth it for any sword user support character. Some great options to pair with this weapon are Xingqiu and Bennet.

Here are the weapon details at level 90:

  • Base attack: 454.
  • Sub-stat: 61.3 % of Energy Recharge
  • Passive effect: Composed: After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s

Why is The Sacrificial Sword great?

  • The insanely high energy recharge this weapon offers will keep you spamming your Burst.
  • Thanks to its passive effect, you can often use your Elemental Skill, which translates to a quick recharge of your support’s Burst. You can even spam your DPS’s burst if he or she has the same element as your support by swapping to your DPS to catch the elemental particles.

How to obtain it?

  • You can get the Sacrificial Sword from any of the Banners available.

4. The Black Sword

A great sword that's not really hard to obtain if you think about it...

The Black Sword is a weapon with a lot of style and unlike other weapons mentioned before, you don’t need luck to be on your side in order to get it. This one you can get it by buying any of the two editions of the battle pass available in every new version. Once you reach a certain level, it lets you choose any of the weapons it offers, and The Black Sword is one of them.

This is another weapon that is meant to be used with your DPS characters, it has a decent base attack, valuable CRIT. Rate on its sub-stat and a passive effect that will make you forget about any healer in your team composition.

Here are the weapon details at level 90:

  • Base attack: 510
  • Sub-stat: 27.6 % CRIT. Rate
  • Passive effect: Justice: Increases DMG. dealt by Normal and Charge Attacks by 20%. Additionally, regenerates 60% of ATK as HP when Normal and Charge Attacks score a CRIT Hit. This effect can occur once every 5s.

Why is The Black Sword great?

  • It offers you a quite useful CRIT. Rate, which will help you focus on getting CRIT. Damage on your artifacts.
  • Its passive effect will make you deal more damage with your Normal and Charge Attacks, plus your HP regenerates when scoring a Crit. Hit with any of those two attacks.

How to obtain it?

  • Picking it from the Battle Pass.

3. The Aquila Favonia.

If you love Physical DMG, this one is for you.

It’s been available since day one, as a permanent five-star weapon that you can get from the Epitome Invocation weapon banner or the Wanderlust Invocation banner (The banner of the blue wishes). This sword may look like the four-star Favonius Sword, but it’s actually much better.

Aquila Favonia is great for DPS characters that want to focus on Physical DMG, such as Keching or even Jean. It has a nice base attack, Physical DMG % bonus on its sub-stat, and an interesting and useful passive effect.

Here are the weapon details at level 90:

  • Base attack: 674
  • Sub-stat: 41.3% Physical DMG Bonus.
  • Passive effect: Falcon's Defiance: ATK is increased by 20%. Triggers on taking DMG: the soul of the Falcon of the West awakens, holding the banner of the resistance aloft, regenerating HP equal to 100% of ATK and dealing 200% of ATK as DMG to surrounding opponents. This effect can only occur once every 15 seconds.

Why is Aquila Favonia great?

  • It could easily be a good choice for a character that you want to deal a lot of physical damage, mainly DPS characters like Keching, Jean, Kaeya, or even the Traveler
  • Thanks to its passive effect and the life it regenerates when you get hit, you can be sure your DPS won’t need a healer that often.

How to obtain it?

  • From the Weapon banner or the Permanent Characters and Weapons banner (Blue wishes).

2. Summit Shaper

A unique sword with a beautiful design.

First things first: this weapon looks amazing, and the best is that it's not only looks. If you equip this in your main DPS, be sure that things will be way easier for you. The amount of attack you can get from this sword is absurd and is one of the most broken swords in the game when it comes to dealing damage.

At level 90 it’ll give your main DPS 608 points of base attack, add up its sub-stat of 49.6% of attack, its passive effect “Golden Majesty” and your ending result will be destroying everything in seconds.

Here are the weapon details at level 90:

  • Base attack: 608.
  • Sub-Stat: 49.6% attack percentage.
  • Passive effect: “Golden Majesty”, increases shield strength by 20%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4%. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.

Why is The Summit Shaper great?

  • This weapon is going to give you a lot of ATK, I recommend you to use it with your main DPS, which will result in huge numbers when you attack enemies.
  • It makes support characters that create shields even more valuable thanks to how its Passive effect works.

How to obtain it?

  • From the limited-time weapon banner.
