Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is an action, hack-and-slash spin-off in the Metal Gear series. It is set four years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots if you like to keep on top of the timeline. Players control Raiden, a cyborg who confronts the private military company Desperado Enforcement, with gameplay focusing on fighting enemies using a sword.

Raiden, a human turned cyborg, returns to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance as the main character, but you might remember him from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. In this game, Raiden worked by a private military company and was protecting a VIP, when they are attacked by cyborgs. The game follows Raiden’s explosive quest for vengeance against the organisation that defeated him.
