5.  Aggressive Hex Build

3 META HUNTRESS BUILDS! | Dead by Daylight

If you want to play aggressive with the Huntress, you may like this build. This build uses hex perks that apply tons of pressure and force survivors to look for hex totems.

The Aggressive Hex Build is really good for players who want to dominate chases with ease. With the use of Hex: Blood Favour, this perk allows you to ensure that loops are unsafe.

This build also features a fair amount of slowdown and information perks that will give you a nice blend of everything. The only major downside to this build is that you may lose your hex perks early in the game if you get bad RNG spawns.

What The Aggressive Hex Build Excels in:

Chases: Due to pallets being blocked off, this build will make chases with survivors much easier while your hex totems are still up.

Slowdown: The perks in the build are strong for slowing down generator progress. Your hex perks will also naturally force survivors to look for them, wasting valuable time

Fun to Use: Since this build is so aggressive, chases are extremely fun and rewarding.

Build Details:

Hex: Blood Favour: When a survivor gets injured by any means, all pallets within 24/28/32 meters of that survivor gets blocked off from being dropped for the next 15 seconds. All effects of this perk subside when its hex totem is removed. This is the perk that makes this build so aggressive. Once you hit a survivor, all loops with pallets become far more unsafe.

Hex: Pentimento: You can see the aura of cleansed totems. When standing by a cleansed totem, you can relight it. For each lit totem, an added effect gets applied. 1 totem reduces generator repair speed by 20/25/30%. 2 totems reduces all healing speed by 20/25/30%. 3 totems reduces all recovery speed by 20/25/30%. 4 totems reduces the exit gate opening speed by 20/25/30%. 5 totems permanently blocks all totems from being touched. This perk is really nasty when running a hex-heavy build. The slowdown is very strong, and if you can get multiple effects going, the game becomes extremely hard for survivors.

Barbecue & Chili: After hooking a survivor, all survivors who are 60/50/40 meters away from the hook have their aura revealed for 5 seconds. Every Huntress build needs some form of aura reading. This is just such a reliable perk to have and will always give the Huntress value.

Hex: Undying: The aura of survivors within 2/3/4 meters of all dull totems are revealed to you. When a different perk’s hex totem is removed, the totem will move over to Hex: Undying. All effects of this perk subside when its hex totem is removed. This perk is perfect for any hex build, as it gives your hex perk an extra life if it gets cleansed. The aura reading can lead to some sneaky shots as well.

4. Ultimate Weapon Build

The ULTIMATE Huntress Build In 2023 Making survivors give up | Dead By Daylight

Ultimate Weapon is one of the best perks to come out of the Alien Chapter. Ultimate Weapon is a very strong perk, and the huntress can utilize it to its fullest potential. The Huntress makes the best use of this perk due to the fact that she needs to reload at lockers.

The Ultimate Weapon Build uses aura reading perks; this way, you can land snipes and apply tons of pressure. This build also increases your reload speed, so reload speed is nearly nonexistent with this build.

This build feels fresh and utilizes a new meta perk. If you have been looking for something new to use in your Huntress games, give this build a whirl.

What the Ultimate Weapon Build Excels in:

Information: This perk provides a ton of information that allows you to stay on top of where survivors are going.

Speed: This build makes reloading significantly faster, saving you a ton of time and letting you get right back into the action.

Freshness: This build uses a new perk, which can be a breath of fresh air for Huntress players who want to try something new.

Build Details:

Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage: At the start of each trial, 4 hooks are randomly selected and changed into scourge hooks. The auras of these hooks are revealed to you in white. Each time a survivor gets unhooked from a scourge hook, the aura of all other survivors gets revealed to you for 5/6/7 seconds. This is a great perk on the Huntress as it allows you to snipe players after an unhooking.

Iron Maiden: This perk increases your locker search speed by 20/40/50%. Survivors who exit lockers scream and reveal their location to you for 4 seconds. They also become exposed for 30 seconds. This perk is great on the Huntress, and it pairs perfectly with Darkness Revealed. The reload speed increase is such an amazing time saver.

Darkness Revealed: After searching a locker, all auras of survivors within 8 meters of a locker are revealed to you for 3/4/5 seconds. This perk has a cooldown of 30 seconds. This perk feels like it was perfectly made for the Huntress. You will get information at times throughout the game after you go and reload your hatchets.

Ultimate Weapon: Whenever you open a locker, this perk activates for 30 seconds. Survivors who enter your terror radius will scream and reveal their location to you. The survivors who scream will be affected by the blindness status effect for 30 seconds. This perk has a cooldown of 40/35/30 seconds. This is a great perk for the Huntress as she will activate this frequently with her reloads. Ultimate Weapon, Darkness Revealed, and Iron Maiden all synergize together pretty well.

3. Shadowborn Build

Become An UNSTOPPABLE HUNTRESS PLAYER Using This TOP TIER Build! - (P100 Huntress Advice)

Shadowborn is a divisive perk. Some players swear by it and take it in every build; some players think it is a complete waste of a perk slot. This is a strong build that includes Shadowborn for players who want to use this perk.

The Shadowborn Build uses all aura reading perks on the Huntress. As you will see with many of these builds on this list, aura reading perks are the best perks for this killer. Shadowborn is a unique case, though.

Players like Shadowborn because it increases their field of view. This gives you more information on your screen due to the fact that you can see more around you. It also gives you the illusion that you are moving faster than you actually are, which is nice on a 4.4-speed killer. This build is definitely a bit better for players with more experience with the Huntress.

What the Shadowborn Build Excels in:

Quality of Life: Playing with a wider field of view on a 4.4-speed killer feels amazing. Regardless of whether you think the perk is good or not, if there were a field of view slider in the game’s settings, most Huntress players would be using it.

Aura Reading: Since this build has aura reading perks, you will be looking to use this to your advantage to help you hit shots.

Uniqueness: This build is for players who want to use Shadowborn. Shadowborn is one of the most unique perks in the game as it changes a basic HUD feature drastically.

Build Details:

Barbecue & Chili: After hooking a survivor, all survivors who are 60/50/40 meters away from the hook have their aura revealed for 5 seconds. With the wider field of view, hitting snipes from far away will feel extremely satisfying. This is also just one of the best perks for the Huntress in the game.

Bitter Murmur: The aura of all survivors is shown to you within 16 meters after completing a generator for 5 seconds. When the last generator is complete, the aura of all survivors is shown to you for 5/7/10 seconds. Similar to Barbecue & Chili, this is a fantastic perk on the Huntress. They work in similar ways and allow you to apply pressure from afar.

Darkness Revealed: After searching a locker, all auras of survivors within 8 meters of a locker are revealed to you for 3/4/5 seconds. This perk has a cooldown of 30 seconds. Another great aura reading option for the Huntress. You will be more than set with information in this build.

Shadowborn: This perk increases your Field of View by 9/12/15. This perk does not stack with Monitor & Abuse. This is a simple perk but the field of view difference makes all the difference in the world for some players. Whether it’s the idea of thinking you ar removing faster than you actually are, or the extra information on your screen, this perk feels great on the Huntress.

2. Training Wheels Build

When Learning Huntress what Build should I use? (DBD Guide)

This build comes from the most known Huntress player and creator “CoconutRTS”. He is a master of the Huntress in every way. He knows all the techniques and ways to utilize her power to its maximum potential.

The Training Wheels Build is perfect for getting started and learning how to use her power effectively. This build will help you learn how to effectively hit survivors in nearly every scenario. This build teaches you how to hit survivors who are across the map, survivors standing still, and survivors in jungle gyms.

While this build is a bit older, not too much has changed regarding the selected perks. This build is still strong in the current meta. If you are trying to learn the ins and outs of the Huntress, this is the best way to do so.

What the Training Wheels Build Excels in:

Learning: The thing this build excels in the most is what it teaches you. This build helps you develop the fundamentals you need on the Huntress to play her effectively.

Effectiveness: This build is still strong despite being a learning-oriented build. The perks in this build are very strong on the Huntress.

Information: All of the aura reading in this build gives you so much information throughout the trial. You will be looking to land hatchets from every angle with this build.

Build Details:

Barbecue & Chili: After hooking a survivor, all survivors who are 60/50/40 meters away from the hook have their aura revealed for 5 seconds. This perk is amazing for the Huntress since you can see auras from across the map. This perk will help you land far shots and learn how to snipe. This perk can be swapped out for Bitter Murmur if preferred, but it is ideal to use Barbecue & Chili when learning.

Corrupt Intervention: At the beginning of each trial, 3 generators farthest away from you are blocked for 80/100/120 seconds. This perk gives you the time to start looking for players and creating pressure. It is still one of the best perks in the game and provides value to nearly every build.

I’m All Ears: When a survivor performs a rushed vault within 48 meters of you, their aura gets revealed to you for 6 seconds. This perk can only activate every 60/50/40 seconds. This perk teaches you how to hit looping survivors in jungle gyms.

A Nurse’s Calling: The auras of healing survivors are revealed to you within a range of 20/24/28 meters. This perk gives you great information and will help teach you how to hit still survivors.

1. Advanced Huntress Build

The day Otzdarva tried my Huntress Build

This is another build by the most known Huntress player “CoconutRTS”. This build is very strong and is essentially his signature build. This build uses aura reading and some niche perks that the Huntress can make good use of.

The Advanced Huntress Build is amazing for constantly applying pressure to survivors. At nearly every task, survivors will have to deal with the risk of being sniped by a hatchet from across the map. This build also has a niche but possibly a powerful endgame.

This is a very hard build to use. I would only recommend this if you are an advanced Huntress player. If you have good knowledge of the killer already, you may really enjoy this build.

What the Advanced Huntress Build Excels in:

Element of Surprise: With a niche end-game perk like Blood Warden, survivors will often not expect to be caught within inches of escaping.

Aura Reading: Since this build has strong aura reading perks, the Huntress can utilize this information to surprise survivors with cross-map shots.

Competing: Even against the best survivors, a good Huntress player using this build will be able to compete and potentially dominate.

Build Details:

Barbecue & Chili: After hooking a survivor, all survivors who are 60/50/40 meters away from the hook have their aura revealed for 5 seconds. This perk is one of the best for the Huntress because she makes fantastic use of aura reading. Being able to apply pressure and potentially injure or down players from across the map is the best thing for the Huntress.

Iron Maiden: This perk increases your locker search speed by 20/40/50%. Survivors who exit lockers scream and reveal their location to you for 4 seconds. They also become exposed for 30 seconds. Having information on where survivors are after leaving lockers allows you to look in the areas you need to be. The reload speed helps you speed up the pace of the game tremendously too. The exposed effect is a nice bonus as well.

Bitter Murmur: The aura of all survivors is shown to you within 16 meters after completing a generator for 5 seconds. When the last generator is complete, the aura of all survivors is shown to you for 5/7/10 seconds. This perk is great for landing snipes and can be game changing come the last generator.

Blood Warden: When the exit gate is opened, this perk activates. The auras of survivors in the exit gate are shown to you. One time per trial, hooking a survivor while this perk is active will block the exits for all survivors for 30/40/60 seconds. This perk is very niche but can allow for the most insane end-game comebacks. The Huntress can down players standing at the exit and ruin what was once a won game.
