[Top 5] Cyberpunk 2077 Best Cars (Early To Late Game)

Cyberpunk 2077 Best Cars
Embodiment of both Cyber & Punk

Cyberpunk 2077 has a massive map. We’re talking about 100-110 square kilometers of dystopian goodness just waiting to be explored. But would you venture out into uncharted corners of Night City on foot? Or would you take your pick from a delicious selection of cars waiting to be stolen, bought, or acquired through missions by your capable, chrome hands?

We’d side with the latter.

If you’re a car enthusiast/collector like us and find Cyberpunk’s many vehicles an absolute joy to drive, then read on as we sift through various vehicular wonders and bring you five sweet rides that are going to make you want to give them all the lovin’.

5. Makigai MaiMai P126

Gleaming red Makigai MaiMai

See it in action:

The MaiMai is among the first cars offered to you in the game, courtesy of your fixer, Wakako. While it may look quite underwhelming at first because of its weird headlights and a generally trapezoidal shape, MaiMai is a wonderful first, or second, car to have.

Because of its compact shape and surprisingly good handling, it's the perfect getaway car for those initial missions. Not only does it accelerate pretty quickly but it handles tight corners like a champ. Pay less attention to its looks and more to its utility!

What makes it so great:

  • Cheap buy at 22,000 eddies
  • Superb handling
  • Compact

Obtaining the MaiMai is easy. Wakako will contact you herself once you roam the district of Westbrook. Find the car at the mentioned location, pay the amount specified, and get the party going.

4. Thorton Mackinaw "Beast"

Thorton Mackinaw "Beast" with a pink bunny on the hood

See it in action:

The Beast is a heavily modified Thorton Mackinaw owned by Claire. The bartender from Afterlife. The player gets access to her vehicle when Claire approaches them for a street racing gig. Said gig can be completed by either driving your vehicle or using Claire’s Beast.

This car is built like a tank. It handles pretty well but it's exceptionally good when it comes to knocking away other cars or treading over off-road tracks. Also, the interior looks really cool. Highly customized and full of buttons. Almost like a plane cockpit. They didn’t care about looks with this one.

What makes it so great:

  • High durability
  • Great offroad traction
  • Pink bunny on the front

Completing all of the street racing missions and taking out Claire’s arch nemesis in the final one is what will bag you the Beast. Keep an eye on what Claire is asking of you and be sure to get that stuff done. Impress her with wins and satiate her drive for vengeance and you get the car.

3. Porsche 911 Turbo

Johnny's gas-guzzling Porsche underneath the NC sun

See it in action:

One of the possessions left behind by our infamous rockerboy, Johnny Silverhand. This Porsche 911 Turbo serves as a mechanical testament to all that Johnny stood for. It has the branding of Porsche on the front and a large SAMURAI written at the back. That's the name of Johnny’s rock band.

Akin to Johnny’s personality, this car is brash, tends to drift, and has a roar to it when speeding down the highway. It’s also one of the few cars in the game that have been designed identical to a real-life machine. Porsche had a hand in its design and we’re sure Keanu felt super proud of it being under his digital, holographic ownership.

What makes it so great:

  • Johnny’s car
  • Good speed
  • Has a personality of its own

Getting this old-timer is part of a mission. In “Chippin’ in” once V gets his hands on Grayson, the merc offers the keys to this car if V lets him live. Choose to let him go and you get deets on the container that has this sweet ride.

2. Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech

V's car, as seen in the trailer

See it in action:

This is it, you guys. This is the car seen in the Cyberpunk trailer(s) that V is driving while gunning down his enemies. It’s also a true upgrade over V’s original car which got trashed at the very beginning of the game.

The Quadra Turbo drives like a dream and looks something like a Mustang if you think about it. The handling is great, the acceleration is great, the speed is great, and… it's just a great car. Quadra is a prominent racing brand in the game and this baby is a fantastic representation of it.

What makes it so great:

  • Nice colorway
  • All-rounder race car
  • V’s car

Acquire this car by first completing the gig, Life’s Work and then getting done with a follow-up gig called Sex on Wheels. A fitting name for a car so snazzy.

1. Quadra Type-66 "Javelina"

Quadra Type-66, an armored beast

See it in action:

The best car in the game, hands down. The Quadra Type 66 is already a top-of-the-line addition to the Quadras and with the Javelina, you get a speedy monster modified in all the right spots for off-road action.

It’s tuned-up engine and armored finish is perfect to label it as the nomad edition for Quadras. With a horsepower of 1000 and a colorway that's going to turn in-game heads, this car demands your unfazed attention if you’re going to have a chance to acquire it. Given the amount of eddies it needs.

What makes it so great:

  • Armored finish
  • Stylish interior
  • Goes as fast as 189 mph

Buy this Quadra only if you have enough money saved up. Initially, the car cost only 73,000 eddies but after patch 1.5, CD Projekt Red punched the numbers up to an eye-watering 99,000. If you’re still interested, build a repute with the local fixer Dakota Johnson and soon enough she’ll let you know the car is up on sale.

Conclusion

Cyberpunk’s collection of cars is something worthwhile to invest your time and money into. Give our top five picks a whirl and see which one of these preem beauties stands out the most for you. The streets of Night City await!
