[Top 5] Fortnite Best Keybinds (What The Pros Use)

fortnite best keybinds, fortnite keyboard, fortnite pros,
16-year-old Faze Mongraal makes the most of his keybinds, when he's not smashing his keyboard into pieces.

The perfect Fortnite Keybinds are not easy to find. It takes time and experimentation. Since Fortnite has so many options and so many pro players, finding a foundation to build upon can be easy.

Many of the keybinds on this list are similar, but each has a few unique characteristics. The best way to build your keybinds may be to combine some of these players’ keybinds together. Lastly, know that some of the players have their keyboard tilted sideways to obtain the results they want.

Mouse models may dictate how the mouse button keybinds are labeled.

5. Clix

Keybinds

  • Movement - Forward(W), Left(A), Backward(S), Right(D), Jump(Space Bar), Sprint (none), Auto Run(Num Lock), Crouch(C)
  • Combat - Fire(Left Mouse Button), Target(Right Mouse Button), Reload(Middle Mouse Button), Use(E), Harvesting Tool(1), Weapon Slot 1(2), Weapon Slot 2(3), Weapon Slot 3(4), Weapon Slot 4(5), Weapon Slot 5(6)
  • Building - Crouch While Building(Left Ctrl), Wall(f), Floor(X), Stairs(Q), Roof(V), Trap(T), Place Building(Left Mouse Button), Repair/Upgrade(H), Rotate Building(R), Change Building Material(Right Mouse Button), Building Edit(G, Mouse Wheel Down), Crouch While Editing(Left Ctrl), Select Building Edit(Left Mouse Button), Reset Building Edit( Right Mouse Button,Mouse Wheel Down)

One piece of advice many pros have given is to not use the G key to edit. Clix however, has decided to do just that. He also has his edit action bound to mouse wheel down. For those who like to edit with G, Clix’s settings may be for you, as it’ll be hard to find another pro that utilizes the key in that way.

Mouse:

  • Finalmouse Ait58 Ninja CBR Edition
  • X-Axis - 8.7%; Y-Axis 6.3%
  • DPI - 800

Keyboard: Clix x Matrix 60% MK

4. Zayt

Keybinds

  • Movement - Forward(W,Up), Left(A,G), Backward(S,Down), Right(D,H), Jump(Space Bar), Sprint (U), Auto Run(Thumb Mouse Button), Crouch(Left Ctrl)
  • Combat - Fire(Left Mouse Button), Target(Right Mouse Button), Reload(R), Use(C), Harvesting Tool(1), Weapon Slot 1(2), Weapon Slot 2(3), Weapon Slot 3(4), Weapon Slot 4(V), Weapon Slot 5(Z)
  • Building - Crouch While Building(Left Ctrl), Wall(Q), Floor(Mouse Button 5), Stairs(E), Roof(Left Shift), Trap(T), Place Building(Left Mouse Button), Repair/Upgrade(X), Rotate Building(R), Change Building Material(Right Mouse Button), Building Edit(F), Crouch While Editing(Left Ctrl), Select Building Edit(Left Mouse Button), Reset Building Edit( Mouse Wheel Down)

Zayt’s Fortnite keybinds are nothing crazy, but they are very effective. All of his keys are well in reach, and he doesn’t use too many number keys. He makes great use of his mouse buttons, making for an overall, very balanced, keybind setup.

Mouse:

  • Zowie FK1+-B Divina Pink
  • X-Axis - 5.9%; Y-Axis 5.9%
  • DPI - 800

Keyboard: Ducky One 3 Mini RGB Pure White

3. Mongraal

Keybinds

  • Movement - Forward(W), Left(A,V), Backward(S), Right(D,MB2), Jump(Space Bar), Sprint (none), Auto Run(Right Bracket), Crouch(Left Ctrl)
  • Combat - Fire(Left Mouse Button), Target(Right Mouse Button), Reload(Middle Mouse Button), Use(4,Mouse Button Up), Harvesting Tool(R), Weapon Slot 1(2), Weapon Slot 2(Q), Weapon Slot 3(3), Weapon Slot 4(F), Weapon Slot 5(X)
  • Building - Crouch While Building(Left Ctrl), Wall(Thumb Mouse Button 2), Floor(N), Stairs(Thumb Mouse Button), Roof(Left Shift), Trap(C), Place Building(Left Mouse Button), Repair/Upgrade(1), Rotate Building(5), Change Building Material(Right Mouse Button), Building Edit(E,Mouse Wheel Down), Crouch While Editing(Left Ctrl), Select Building Edit(Left Mouse Button), Reset Building Edit(Right Mouse Button, Mouse Wheel Down)

Mongraal’s insane mechanics may not be easy to mimic, as he plays with his keyboard tilted sideways. His movement keybinds are different than most because of his keyboard placement. Also, if you’re someone who struggles with pressing too many number keys, Mongraal’s keybinds may help, because he has less useful actions bound to the number 4 and 5 keys.

Mouse:

  • Logitech G402
  • X-Axis - 4.9% ; Y-Axis 4.9%
  • DPI - 800

Keyboard: Steelseries APEX PRO TKL

2. Aqua

Keybinds

  • Movement - Forward(W), Left(A), Backward(S), Right(D), Jump(Space Bar), Sprint (none), Auto Run(B), Crouch(Left Shift)
  • Combat - Fire(Left Mouse Button), Target(Right Mouse Button), Reload(R), Use(E), Harvesting Tool(4), Weapon Slot 1(7), Weapon Slot 2(8), Weapon Slot 3(5), Weapon Slot 4(X), Weapon Slot 5(T)
  • Building - Crouch While Building(none), Wall(L-Alt), Floor(C), Stairs(F), Roof(V), Trap(6), Place Building(Left Mouse Button), Repair/Upgrade(Caps Lock), Rotate Building(Q), Change Building Material(none), Building Edit(G, Mouse Wheel Up), Crouch While Editing(none), Select Building Edit(Left Mouse Button), Reset Building Edit(Right Mouse Button, Mouse Wheel Up)

By the looks of it, Aqua’s unique keybinds look very difficult to learn. Using the number keys 7 and 8, seem weird, but they allow his fingers to have some space across the keyboard. If you’re someone that likes the stretch their finger across the keyboard, these may be the settings for you. Aqua though, may have his keyboard tilted to the side to achieve his results.

Mouse:

  • Logitech G Pro Wireless
  • X-Axis - 9.1%; Y-Axis 9.1%
  • DPI - 400

Keyboard: Steelseries APEX PRO TKL
